little update.. thanks to Shannon Whelan for coming down the last few months tinkering on the wiring... we got it running... sdaly an idiot (me) messed something up when hard wiring.. so now nada... grrr my daughter is just a little excited as she got first ride as promised for all her help... the wheels were rubbing as I hadnt adjusted it since building the suspension and installing.. it is now sitting about an inch above the tires till we are ready to drive for reals... my tuner says that my current setup should be good for around 400-415 whp... need larger injectors and another pump if I go for more.. but in a 2500pd car.. itll be fun
also didnt feel like paying $140 per bracket for seat mounts.. so I designed and made my own.. still have to cut the passenger side but it has some funky mounting locations...
decided to go ahead and take a chance on the changes I had made to the design of the drivers mount.. tape measure measurements and guesses on the changes and voila... almost sits flat.. it is about an inch higher on the passenger side once seat is on the mount.. tonight I should finish up welding the seat to the mount...
after some work being done over the last week or so I got to my doors and discovered my ds door was bent... didnt want to spend $100+ on a tool for pulling dents so I used some bolts, some heat and a vice grip haha.. minimal bondo used despite what it appears... it has to be sanded down yet
How the dented door worked out Was lazy and didnt bother fixing the lower left front guard.. until the primer went on I didnt think it would show that much.. um yeah so but I fixed it top pic is factory untouched door... bottom pic is my repaired door
same as the engine bay in previous photos... called Tahiti Green it was probably the upload?? pretty sure its taken with the iphone 7 plus so it aint a potato camera hahaha
It is a great camera. Pretty sure that it’s just my old man eyes. Looking forward to seeing it with color on it!
nah it is the picture I took.. I was standing way back leaving the shop and zoomed in instead of getting closer haha welcome to drop down anytime.. you know that
badges on.. we tried to paint the engraving etc.. maybe eventually I will have them powder coated and retry but 2 attempts were unsuccessful.. oh well also installed the door cards I purchased over a yr ago and hadnt unboxed.. glad they are decent shape..
finally got to put her outside in the sun... My oldest girl now 13 (#2 of 4) has her eyes set on my car... haha she has helped me the most so she is on the list to get it if I die (like she claimed to her siblings) and Im now on the hunt for one for her to play on...
Havent updated much as well.. it hasnt changed.. but I am datalogging and stuff.. though on saturday while datalogging we came back to house and as I pulled up to shop I lost the clutch... seems like it may be the clutch master cylinder.. Im assuming being almost 33yrs old and having sat 14yrs dry it gave up the ghost with use... everything in the clutch/bearing inside bellhousing is connected (replaced the basket ring that holds the bearing to the clutch - pull type system) but pedal stays on floor while bleeding clutch.... so hopefully wednesday Ill have the new one changed in and can start logging under some boost... so far the thing scoots with no boost

Seems like it was tore apart and thrown back together with a soft seal kit... hopefully everything is salvageable Front Rotor https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipP ... uuqWzfNk6g Damage.. possibly previous https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipN ... kHdncS5Fzh Rear Rotor https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipO ... ubAR2eA9qH stock ports https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipP ... I left at 1230 friday lunch, got down there at 230am saturday, grabbed a room and slept 6 hrs, woke up showered got dressed and went to meet Kevin.. spent an hr or so hanging out discussing the engine build and other things... then got to ride in his repu.. F%^$^%g beast... then he led me out to the highway and showed the rx7 off a little... then I left towards home, stoppd for a 25min nap, then met a buddy in Kansas City for some dinner which tool 1.5hrs, then back on the road.. stopped at 3am and took a 25min nap then when the alarm went off I reset it again.. haha I was beat.. 2hrs left till home so I finished it up and got home around 5am.. slept till midday.. what a weekend.. pretty excited for my engine to be built and what it will be like.. Repu FD
new motor is in.. put some miles on it yesterday and had some fuel issues... seems an injector may have clogged (just paid to clean them) so new upgraded injectors ordered, new 10micron filter and fittings ordered.. hope to have it installed next week as I have my first car show on the 14th... back to the 80s in Burnsville.. come check it out
