here are some recent pics... had to make some modifications to my exhaust manifold to try to fight boost creep, and modified my 2nd tank for a combination swirl pot/drop tank style setup.. it can drain the tank in 15 mins (16 gallons) and leaves less than a paint can lid in it... yay

also my 15yr old bought his first car this week.. thanks to Predavore...

    heh heh. You said, "done"

Seriously, though. Looks amazing. I was hoping to make it to Back to the '80s, but ended up living vicariously through the pictures, and I saw many of your car.

    little update..

Well saturday started on a crap note.. heading to my sons soccer game with plans to hit the dyno after for 3 pulls for $30... 5miles from home pulling a 3rd gear log and lost the clutch pedal for the 3rd time in 3 weeks.. had just replaced the throwout bearing and little clutch ring/cage.. raced home after soccer and fixed the clutch... little over an hr to pull the little ring etc, straighten and fix, fix a starter bolt that stripped, put it all together, screw in a bolt in place of the clutch pedal stop... I think the clutch was over pushing so stopping the pedal travel may have fixed it.. thanks again @kevin_btz for problem solving across country.. hit the dyno after a quick little sprint 40miles to event.. ended up with 412hp 385tq on a mustang dyno.. low boost as the diaphragm is leaking on wastegate and didnt log so not sure what boost.. going from previous logs it dropped to 14-16psi... aiming for 20 or maybe 25psi.. and the car made it home.. yay

Cool project, man. I've actually got an '85 GLS-SE in storage that I've been planning a build for a couple years. Your story is pretty inspiring.

nothing new.. pulled the harness, sent it to my engine builder... waiting on him... in the meantime I drove to OK and picked this up.. now to get used to total new cad and cam software than I use daily at work...

first up tried to mill a scale mazda.... messed up something.. think I had the wrong offsets for tool or something...

That first run was a pretty clean like brotha! She seams like she is running pretty smooth. With plenty of bite when you crack the throttle!

    Any tire rubbing at all?

only rubs under big bumps in the rear.. no rub in the front surprisingly... that first run was actually my 2nd run only ever.. hahaha my 3rd I went hard but clipped a damn cone... it was tough figuring the boost/powerband spot... 1st gear wasnt enough headroom, 2nd kinda bogged a little... so it was a clutch flicking type drive.. hahaha
