Just incase you didn't get it the first two times... http://mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7485
Nothing fancy. It is an Olympus 770SW. Waterproof to 33ft and drop proof from 5ft. Still just a point and shoot camera.
From Friday night. There were a LOT more people there later in the night but my camera does not do that great with dark.
that was a nice pic JOEL! what kind of camera did u use to get it that wide or did u take 2 pics and connect the 2?
It's 6 pictures stitched together. I used a cheap camera, Nikon Coolpix S3, but it has a panorama assist mode. I used a prorgam called AutoStitcher. http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html It's a demo version, but it works well enough for what I want to do. Apparently Canon cameras come with a good stitching program too. There's a bunch of info, just search for photo stitching or panorama. Then I just cropped it and adjusted the levels in photoshop. Here's another one I did tonight in fort snelling state park. You can start to see where the cheap camera is affecting it because the image is darker towards the edges because of the crappy lens. With a good camera and tripod you could do some amazing stuff. here's a bigger version of the firestone pic.
^Yeah that happens from time to time ... maybe you could come out and play one of these nights, maybe even in the Tribeca ???
