I had some down time and wanted to do something cool that involved my car, so i tried out the rasterbator, used up about a half ink cartridge, 2 hours of time, and about 2square meters of space on my basement wall........all in all it was easy to use, its alot cheaper than kinkos and turned out great, it look slike nothing while youre putting together and even if youre standing up close, but when you put it together it looks sweet. I think im addicted and am gonna do alot more, il post em up when i get em finished. Here is the my first, which i did tonight.

Oh and yeah i did steal that pic from JoeGengtsa lol, i also chose to leave in the boarders, i think it makes it look kinda cool, but you can cut em off and im sure i will on my next rasterbate

Is that what that one site that was posted does, mosaics the picture so you can print it on letter-size paper? If anyone is interested in costs and such required to print huge stuff like that let me know, my DesignJet 5500 prints on roll-fed media up to 60" wide. I've got regular 32# bond, assorted gloss media, canvas and watercolor paper up to 36", vinyls, etc etc. I also have access to a VUTEk which can print on anything flat up to 60" wide and up to 1.75" thick.

What size and what sort of material did you want it on? We've got corrugated plastic, PVC, and aluminum as the usual signage materials. Also would need the artwork in a vector format like EPS, Illustrator, WMF, or CorelDraw.

And also what's your idea of a hurry? I'm on vacation until Monday so I couldn't quote you until then. The actual sign would only take me a day to do.

Kind of, my futur mother-in-law said she would buy me a new ink cartridges since I printed my wedding invites and she wants to help pay for them since she was unable to print the, so I figure, I took the time to print them, now I deserve a little time for fun.

I think you guys are doing this at the Komasuu site, right? I've done a few of those things over the years...I don't know if he is still offering it, but I have the standalone version of the Rasterbator. There used to be lines waiting for their image to be processed, it used to take forever to make one. Is it still like that?
