This stuck out to me, is that saying a tune could be the "source" of the burnt valve?

The dealership had checked out the rest of my car. If anything I am guessing I am running pretty rich.

My cel and cruise started today, scanned the code and it was p0301 (cylinder 1 misfire) so, I erased all the codes, now the cel is gone but the cc light is still blinking..

Which cylinders? #2 and #4 seem to be the weak link usually for pistons at least.

my question for them when i get the phone call today is why they didnt check for this in the first place when they covered with my warranty last time.

I have read around that it could be a few things that have could have done it. Some say people running lean accelerates the process. However, I was tuned pretty rich. Others have said that it is just a common problem that happens when the valves dont close all the way. It could be one of many things actually but the engine doesnt look like its in bad shape. just needs some new valves. pretty sure ill be covered... staying optimistic

You weren't tuned super rich nor anything. You're still on the stock TMIC. Factory tunes are way richer than what you're tuned at now.

I'd install a catch can or air/oil seperator
