I'm super late to the party on this one, but have never had a need to change a bulb in the tail lights. I swapped out the halogens for LEDs in the reverse lights, and although it was day light, I am happy with how they turned out. I ended up getting the Amazon brand LEDs and they look great so far. The late to the party portion of the post is that I didn't realize the lamp it self has to come off to replace bulbs. Only one clip and two screws hold it on, so it was a 10 minute job total, but had me missing the simplicity of the 04 WRX tail lights for a split second.
Has anyone here seen a white SJ with a black roof? I've googled and come up empty. I am pretty much going full black and white, no chrome, wondering if that would look any good. thanks guys. (If I ever did this, vinyl wrap, not paint)
Well I made some minor updates, got her tinted, removed some rear badging, and added some vinyl overlays to the logo. I messed around with plasti-dip, got frustrated and said screw it, for now at least:

Welp, my rear left Whiteline toe just snapped. Luckily I was only doing about 25mph. More info to follow. Update: Here are some photos. Looks like the inside of tire got chewed up as well. You can see right where the toe arm snapped. Installed the part two years ago. There was another FXT owner who had the same issue with this Whiteline and Whiteline actually reimbursed him and offered a new, updated version. Hoping they will do the same as this looks like a product defect.
White Line is pretty good with their products and customer services. I've had only good experience with them.
I emailed them this morning. Hoping they can offer something. I will need all new tires, which is really unfortunate as they only have ~10k miles on them.
I won’t be anticipating any compensation on tires, its just a bummer that it got chewed up. Whiteline is shipping out a new set of toe arms tomorrow.
Got some Nameless muffler deletes/new gasket kit (also from Nameless) about two weeks back. Will be putting them on in the next couple of days... Nervous about sound being too loud, but figure it's worth a shot. Will be mating them up to the OEM midpipe which I'm hoping will keep it somewhat reserved. If not, be watching the FS thread! lol.
I thought about getting deletes. I wish I had a little more grumble when idling with the 4” cans. I mean, hey, if you don’t like them, I’d definitely like to hear how they sound (although I have the full catback) and maybe we could do a swap...
Just picked up some BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S tires so swap out. I’ll have 3 good Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Positions and one chewed-up paper weight. If anyone knows someone looking for two (three for the price of two) 245/45/19’s, I’ll be trying to get rid of them. Not sure on a price yet until I figure out whats left on the tread.
How soon are you wanting it done? I know a couple of private parties that do fantastic work, but they may be two to four weeks out yet.
I have a service appointment scheduled for this week and was planning on ordering one of those little bottles of paint. I have a few nicks here and there, but there is a spot on my hood that has been driving me crazy. I attempted to touch-up some paint on one of my cars many moons ago and, to say the least, it didn’t turn out well. Here’s the problem spot on my hood:

I'm kidding. This chrome **** is out of control, it's like weeds. I've been trying to wrap all the chrome on my 4runner and then my fxt, just can't find the time. It would have been nice if they came out with a Black Edition FXT...
