    Please elaborate then, lol.

The level of control of the stock boost system is by far much better than the dtec. The dtec has a very simple closed loop operational system compared to stock and has absolutely no compensation for either temp or barometric changes.

Then on top of that, both it's boost targets and wgdc targets are 1 or 2 dimentional depending on which mode you are in. The stock system is a 3-d system that also references throttle position. There is much more resolution with the stock system.

um.. actually that's just selling the parts.. not the car... think about it... cause those parts by themselves are useless without the car.. yet funnily enough the car still drives without the parts.... duh

the dtec, while being simple, holds the boost solid in every gear... even 4th and 5th... which is where the ecu starts to act eratic.
3d mapping? ok. thats nice and all, but trust me, i went 3 years, 2 turbos and 3 jorge tunes on the stock boost control system. and honestly, with the 20g, my right foot WAS the boost control.

Sounds to me like you simply had some bad experiences with stock tunes.

The stock ECU has more resolution. Period. This is not debatable. Of course, with more resolution, a tune requires more work, and you have a lot more that can go wrong as things (intake temp, pressure, car modifications) change. This is why many people have trouble with tunes that are done in 1 hour on a dyno.

Methinks all of the tunes were done on a UTEC also. And ditto on the 1 hour thing; Jorge isn't God.

no, not all of the tunes were on utec. 2 were on AP.

these were not one hour dyno tunes. they were more like 2 hour dyno tunes and many hours of futsing around later on the street.
not to mention the dyno tunes were based on maps that jorge had been evolving for months.
and yes, he is god. :)

having the ability to independently set your boost in each gear is very very powerful.
how many people running 20gs on stock boost control have issues with spiking and fluctuating boost levels in 5th gear?
    many.
i can put my foot to the floor at any time, and know that i will get full boost with no spiking, fluttering or searching.... my only issue has been low rpm, 7psi surging in 6th.. most of the time it's an occasion where i should have down shifted...
i also turn the gain down a bit for winter.

while i agree that the stock ecu is very nice. it is hard to have one boost map function correctly throughout.
