Fixed that for ya! Never lost a stoplite battle since dyno day tho even with a malfunctioning car(at the track of course :biggrin.
Acually its more of a personal preference. Some people dont want huge turbo's in there fog light holes  I keep trying to get Pete to buy a bigger turbo but he really wants to keep the 20G for the spool factor. So what if he cant beat fox bodies up to 150mph, he likes that down low spool.
but when we are talking about a 30r with the .82 i belive and the 35r with the .62. they are going to be real close in spool. so why not get more power for the same buck
What do you guys think of the turboxs FMIC? I found out that where i work i can get them at cost! so i was thinkin of getting that one to save a few hundered bucks over the perrin one. Also i can get ACT clutches. are those any good?? or should i stay with that SPEC one?
turboxs core os smaller but will work fine. im going to be running one with a 40r but an most likely going to make up the differance in coling with a meth kit and mybe a nos intercooler chiller. seen people run that ic with a 35r all over nasioc. as far as clutches go cat is good. seen hight hp cars running the act Xtreme clutch with the fidanza aluminum flywheel. im ether going with that clutch, the exity triple plate ot a tilton. dont no much about them so im reading more to see whats best.
Since it looks like you're looking for a quality build, go with APS. Yes they are a little expensive, but in most cases you get what you pay for. If you like to show off what you got they have the typcial aluminum colored one, and they also have a black one, a little more "stealthy" if you will. I know one time I went up to Firestone one of the STI owners had a APS turbo and the APS front mount...
I have to agree somewhat. When it comes to there GT turbo kit, it looks super nice and I wish it was available when I bought my Perrin kit. There "bolt on" turbo's are a different story imo. You can get bolt on loc. turbo for half the price of the APS turbo's and get equal if not better performance. There FMIC's are hot, but again I got the Perrin for almost half of what they wanted for the APS and it does the job just fine and looks good.
ok the best bang for the buck it a knock off of turbo xs fmic and you get them on ebay. see the link for deatails http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=909584
the perrin tmic would not sit straight or flush in the engine bay. the brackets were off. the UR one i have now is the ****.
