^^^ if you pay 3 buks at Hyland, you get rentals for free. I'm down anytime. Pm or post here for when people want to meet up.
has anyone played at lions park in shakopee... it would be a nice spot to meet and play a round its 18 holes
Let me know when and where. I have one in apple Valley right next to my house or bryant lake park is always a beautiful course.
yeah ive heard bryant is really nice ive always wanted to go there we should play there for sure sometime
sickwagon- i play constantly. i live in fargo ND. over in jamestown there are two courses. one of which is rated 4th in the country. 27 holes. be prepared to lose some discs. if you ever feel like taking on the course send me a message, im always down.
tonyM and I are going discing Saturday morning June 27th at 8am at Hyland if anyone wants to come join us. I will also be going tomorrow late morning or early afternoon at Apple Valley if anyone wants to come with.
Hmm, taking Saturday off as it is.. but have a 10am appt to get my snowtires put on with Jeff. How long does the course last?
I have honestly never done Hyland so I am not sure. I would figure it would be right around that 1 1/2 hour to 2 hour range though being as it is 18 holes.
yeah, i'd say its about 1.5 to 2 hours. Im thinking if Im shooting good, i may stay and play 2 rounds.
The dumb thing is that you have to pay another 3 dollars for another round. At Bryant Lake Park it is 3 dollars for all you can play that day.
what is that other frisbee game that you play like football? I played a bit of that a year ago at the U for class and of course I passed the class....lol
ultimate frisbee is correct. I have one of those frisbees too. And a led night frisbee that the whole thing lights up and another one that you can type in messages that will read out when you throw it.
I think we stick with hyland for the first round atleast. I have never been there and definately want to check it out and that first round will give us plenty of time to figure out the next move. I also heard Hyland is quite the workout with the ski slopes and stuff so I may have to stick to no beer for once........
:eek3: Blasphemy! I'll be able to make it now, thanks to J.Rex borrowing me his snows and rims! Kinda early in the morning, but I'm guessing it's to beat the crowd?
If you don't try too hard when you are new then it is easy. The worst thing you can do when trying to learn is to throw it really hard because chances are you will be looking for discs for most of the day. And you can get up that early rex. If you want, give me your number and I will give you an early morning wake up call. It will be like you are staying in a hotel. (without the pillow mint and the chance of bugs crawling on you all night)
stay in mpls but I'm always in the apple valley, savage, bville and shak town quite a bit over the weekend....hit me up.
Was out yesterday for the first time at land of memories park in Mankato. It feels great to be out playing again!
Played for the first time in a couple years in Eau Claire yesterday - sure have missed it! Haven't lost all abilities either!
Resurrecting an old thread, but if anyone wants to meet up for a round of disc golf. I usually go on Wed, Thurs or Fri mornings or afternoons trying to avoid busy courses and heat. Mostly play Bryant Lake, Acorn, Highland Park or Bassett Creek.
I have the season pass too, when are you off work? I always go there early so I've never seen if it's busy later in the day.
If I leave right after work I can be there around 6:20. It isn't usually too bad. Can anyone here shoot below a 50 at Bryant? I consistently shoot mid 50's Mike
Below 50 would be insane. I just started playing regularly this year, and my best is 60 which I have done twice.
