So... What happened between Saturday and Monday? I refer my friend to you, he arranges a meeting and drives it on Saturday. Gives you cash down with the understanding he wouldn't even be able to get it from you for another week or two until you got a new car, but he was going to be the buyer. Then i hear after he went through the effort to get his loan approved and calls you Monday to arrange when he can pay you, you had sold it to someone else. And not even to someone else with cash in hand, you took another down payment. I just think its very inconsiderate, and reflects badly on the club to someone trying to get into it buying a Subaru
What happened was a cluster **** of PM's and calls. When your friend first called me on Thursday of last week. I thought it was Scuba-Steve's friend. As Dave(scuba-steve) had pm'd me his number and hs friend interested in buying my car. I tried to contact Dave's friend but always got a busy signal. So, Dave called me and I talked to him a bit about the details of the car. Not long after Mike called me. I assumed this was Dave's friend who was interested in the car. I asked Mike about picking it up for his kids(which is what Dave's friend was going to do). Mike said no, it's for himself. I was confused but didn't really pursue any deeper other than that. I just assumed it was Dave's friend and maybe Dave was confused. Because looking through my PM's to Mike, I see I never gave him my number, only gave it to Dave by that point. Still confused as to how he got it. At that point it wasn't posted in my FS thread. At least not to my knowledge. During this time, Lilred had contacted me with interest in the car. At that point I thought Dave's friend was going to come see it Saturday. When in reality it was Mike. Lilred had to go to Ireland or something and asked if I would hold the car until October. I said if this sale falls through and if he wants to give me a $1000 deposit. Because I don't want to hold it for that long without a for sure sale going through. He says, cool but passes and asks me to let him know if it falls through. Later on that day Dave contacts me and says his buddy(who I assumed was coming Saturday to look at the car) couldn't handle insurance. ****ty, but I pm'd lilred and let him know. He says cool and he is coming over Saturday to look at it. So at this point I believed only one person was coming to look at the car on Saturday. I get a call around noon Saturday morning and Mike is on his way. I assume this is Lilred as I never got his name. Mike checks out the car, takes it for a spin and likes it. He's asking about the misfire CEL and I'm like I already explained that in a pm, didn't you get it? he says no. I ask him about going to Ireland and if he can get the loan. He says no dude, that's not me. Again, with all the pm's and calls I'm just ****ing confused and figure I'm just mixing people up. He tells me he's unsure of the loan due to personal circumstances but offers me a $200 deposit. I accept. I took this deposit with the assumption that no one else was coming for the car. As soon as Mike leaves I go in the house and I get a call from lilred. Confused as all ****, I'm like well who the **** just looked at my car? So lilred comes over with his girlfriend and take a look at the car. I even told them someone came by and put a deposit and I'm confused as hell as to what the hell is going on. But he takes a look at the car and likes it. He has more money to put down than Mike and is already approved for the loan. They just came from the bank. So, knowing I need to sell this ****ing car before my new one arrives so I'm not stuck with 2 payments. I take his deposit and tell him since he has more money and is approved for the loan. The car is his. I tried to call Mike as soon as this went down Saturday afternoon around 1. But admittedly never left a message. So I sent him a pm explaining the situation and apologizing. Bottom line is I was confused with all the calls and pm's I recieved for the car. It is my fault and I accept total responsibility and I appologized to Mike. Although he didn't want to hear it and I guess I don't blame him. But I tried to contact him before he went to the bank and wasted his time. I am giving your friend his money back, of course. But in the end it is my car and my finances that I need to look out for. I wasn't sure if he would get the loan and I wasn't going to turn away a for sure sale only to wonder if Mike would pull through. I'm sorry to you and your friend. I assure you I wasn't planning for this to happen. It was just too much **** happening for me to keep up with. It is my fault and I appologize. I don't want your friend to think this is a bad community.

I got your number from the PM you sent me after the post saying i had a friend that was interested, please PM me your number. Which you did. Who were you sending PM's to thinking it was Mike? He does not have an account here so that would explain why he didnt get any of this information. Well if it matters his loan is approved and he was very excited to get into the Subaru group so if for whatever reason it doesnt work out hes here.
That sucks that it went down like that. If it helps, I bought my winter tires from dizmal and it went smooth as butter. Stand up guy in a crappy situation is all.
Hrm, well a few people said they had friends who were interested. Well, I think he does have an account. I think he is subiedriver4444??? Because he did pm me after you already did. I assumed he checked in here regularly so he wouldn't have wasted his time with the bank and get his hopes up. But I guess not and he did get approved. Again, I totally apologize to you and Mike. I was 1 HUGE misunderstanding on my part. If Mike has a paypal account I can give him his money back right now. If something happens with lilred and it falls through... You and him will be the first to know and I'll throw in a free kick to the balls for not paying attention to what the hell was all happening!
Nope thats defiantly not him, ive been hounding him to get a Subaru since he got rid of his Audi but he has not created any accounts here. Hes not too much of a computer/forum guy.
No **** huh? That subiedriver444 gave me the exact same story Mike did. Needs to make it through school and then will work on engine swap or whatever. So I thought they were the same cats. Crazy. Again, sorry. Does Mike have Paypal? That way he doesn't have to wait for my schedule to clear to get his money.

sorry about all that mess man. but yeah, the car is for me and not planning on getting rid of the rs either. plus my wife, wrxchic, already has a wrx same color and also rim color too. they will be almost like twins! up to 3 subies in the family now.
