I have been watching his craigslist and it is an amazing wagon... But i think he is factoring in that he is a mechanic. Its a good thing, but people should keep their cars as good as he does regardless. (society has gotten so lazy these days)
I could be interested if the price goes down, keep this updated please.
    Good Luck!

Nice car, but he's smoking crack if he thinks someone is going to pay 14k for an almost 8 year old car with over 100k miles. Not to mention the fact that there isn't a bank out there (especially now) that's going to loan 14k for that car, so he'll be needing someone with a lot of cash down at that price.

Best of luck with the sale though.

Yeah, what they said. We all see it all the time, but mod's do not increase the value of a car. Simply put.

Also, some constructive criticism: The wagon is not lighter then a sedan. He also has a few mis-spellings in the beginning of the craigslist ad. Personally, if I was shopping and read his ad, I would stop reading after the first paragraph and move on.

Props to him though, as it seems like he certainly has done some tasteful mods on the car.

I sold my STi for 18k. 14k on that car---even though it looks really nice--is not going to happen...especially with this economy. most places won't finance anything with over 75,000 miles or older than 2003 these days.

I would never want a car from a mechanic. Those cars are the most neglected. Who wants to work on there own car when they do it all Fin day.
