Main point was do a little research before just going off on someone or a business. Did it warrant a sarcastic comment at him or his business (which he is his business) from you? It seemed he was pointing his questions at the mods and owner of the site.

If you would have read the announcement, or any of the other threads, you would have know that you need to log into the system first, then your account gets added to the list of people that need to be upgraded. Then when the system does its checks (about every hour or so), it will upgrade your account. So I am guessing that shortly after you logged off, your account was upgraded.

The other thing that we are doing at the vendor level is give them larger signatures, the ability to add a banner, and a red name so everyone can find them a bit easier. At the same point in time, everyone complains about large sigs/banners, so we are trying to keep the vendors banners in the FS areas, and not all over the whole site.

These changes are all a work in progress, so some of the things have not been changed over night. Now that I lost my job today, my list of about 329784598345987435 things that need to be done will start getting done. That means a bunch more people will be crying by the end of the week.

That does make sense Russ about the sig files. Although if it's known by the general public that they will have a little larger sig space, I think they will understand. But thank you for shedding a little more light on it for me. I do appreciate (and that's not being sarcastic in the least).

Russ, I'm sorry to hear about you losing your job.

And since you've got more time, maybe you should add a :beatdeadhorse: icon. That would be fitting for this thread at the moment.

is one of them a crying baby smiley??

please tell me if I was searching for someone whom I didnt know existed or what their name was what would I type in teh search query?? "UNKNOWN VENDOR WHO OFFERS DISCOUNTS?""???" so Dave what is the point of that statement.. use the search button.. kinda seems redundant in this situation...

and with the amount of time these 'VENDORS" spend on a forum I am not surprised they dont know about new changes... zing... and I clicked that link... You and Davenport Racing have posted in there.. NO WONDER they arent as well known on the forum... proves my point.. double zing

you know... just cause someone is signed in doesnt mean they are on the forum... half the time I am not even home when the site is open on my laptop...

Well, that was a bit more than I expected! Thank you to the folks that feel I have things to offer worth while!

Just as a note, I mainly deal with Rally only items, service and knowledge. My Subaru Specific knowledge is not at the level as most of you. I am hoping that as I read more that it improves.

I do have Street products available, it just has not been the main source of sales and work. I started the whole thing by doing cage work in 1996.

I am sorry that tstrboy has issue with my questions, opinions and general view in this discussion. I hope that we can move forward without too much Whining.

This is MNSubaru, all we do is cry and whine, even about things that do not effect us.

Russ, sorry to hear about the job situation. Hopefully you can find something else before too long.

As far as Doug goes, I've known him for a number of years from when I worked at BP Subaru and he's got a ton of knowledge for those of us who are interested in Rally. He's a great asset to the site, he just flies under the radar a bit forumwise.

I was simply referring to your comment about having to google davenport racing instead of searching the site.

Whatever Scuba... seems to me you have less and less to say lately yourself, before you start telling others how or what to do... and this  I can use that smiley too...

my point is... it would be nice to have people like Doug to chime in more often if he is already scanning the forums... he obviously has a wealth of stuff to offer this site and its members... simple...

oh yeah.. and this sites search function works fantastic... I tried to search for Fobias ' dont tell anyone' thread and it didnt even find it... maybe it was user error, but it still didnt bring up ANY thread started by Fobia... why not offer some real advice instwad of being as much of a jerk as you are lately.. its easy to point fingers
