The newer transmission will not have a speed sensor in the bell housing, so this module is required to read the speed from the ABS sensor (like the newer cars do). It could also be used if your wheel/tire setup is far from stock and you want to recalibrate your speedometer. I sent the VSSPro unit into get checked out. They replaced I/O microprocessor chip and re-twisted the signal wires and sent it back to me. It is now good as new and ready for a new owner!
I have literally had people require me to take cell phone pictures of things before they'll buy them because they don't believe the pictures. LOL.
