Right now Karens car has the stock injectors, Im going to be putting the modified stock injectors in Sunday night. Will the car run ok to get me 30miles away to Rs motors for my tune? Or should I get there early and try to do them in the parking lot? Thanks Rich
what cc injectors are you going to put in?? My guess that it will run like as*, I think you will have to scale them back and drive it without getting into boost, thats my guess....im sure one of the tuning types will drop some advise soon otherwise do it in the parking lot
you should ask ron if hes got some map with similar injectors you could use to get the car there. obviously no boost etc.
i wouldnt do it, even if it ran at all it would probably wash down the cylinders and thats a whole new ball of wax
not really as good as expected but the car does feel alot faster, we had a few boost issues that we got fixed by the end of the day. But by then the car was really heat soaked. we wound up getting 250whp/ and around 250fpt at 19psi. once it cools down a little I might bring it back for a retune. But Karens happy for now
I thought this was the turbo? Sorry I don't know all the in's, out's, and what-have-you's about mitsu turbos.
wrong.....turbo lag comes into play so I hit the gas and it takes a few seconds for her to kick in...but when it does kick in it's great It takes a bit of practice with an auto but you learn to hit the gas before you actually get into the corner so it grabs at the right time. Since the tune I've messed around and got the hang of it on the highways (could still use more power on pavement though) and I'm going to hit some old logging trails by the end of this week--it goes completely different in sand & gravel now.
2004 auto wrx 2.0 liter I think I'm going to have to get 2 maps made...1 for the power and 1 for less so when the ice races roll around I won't just spin. I think the little studdeds that helped me win this past winter will be pointless with the new power!
