Does this forum have a list of places that sell premium 91 octane fuel that is WITH ethanol? I am just south of the MN river in Lakeville. I've owned my 09 LGT for 4+ yrs and have always used Kwik Trip 91 which is ethanol free. Lately I've been reading from multiple sources that non-oxy or no ethanol 91 is basically like running 87 octane fuel. Car has always run perfect and is low miles. It is my daily driver and I have really never pushed it hard just a commute from Lakeville to Eden Prairie for work. This year it has been parked 99% of the time in my workshop. I've purchased a COBB AP3 to give it a mild tune but I want to find a source of better fuel before I touch that.

Basically just go anywhere other than Kwik Trip... For whatever reason they've made a ton of their stations non-oxy only for premium. I usually hit BP/Sinclair if available. Otherwise Bill's Superette is my jam (they have 92), but I think they're a north metro only deal.

As far as finding 91 octane stations, when i had my mini i just took a day cruising local stations along my route to work and noting down what they had. Unfortunately the 93 octane finder and corn finder (e85) websites dont really note 91 octane as it's common.

As far as the oxy versus non-oxy arguement goes, i've never managed to blow up my mini running 70000 miles on exclusively non-oxy.

I live in the cities, so it's easy to find 93. I just go to any BP.

    Thanks guys.

So the 93 oxy fuel would be fine too. I should adjust the title of this thread...

I will check out the closest BP, HyVee, Holiday ,and FleetFarm to see what they have.

BP is where I go for premium as it is 93 octane. I am fairly certain is you read the sticker on the pump that non-oxy fuel is NOT for use in motor vehicles used on the highway. Meaning it is for small engines, snowmobiles, etc.

Do they not have premium at all then? It would surprise me that they had "premium" but at a lower octane.

For whatever reason, once you get out of the "cities" BP premium is 91 octane. Never really understood why that is.

I had to Google, but after the first page of hits I wasn't going any further. And came up empty. Apparently I am not cool enough to understand this reference.

My brother and I used to say it in the 90's, in response to breaking the "rules". Like what are they gonna do, spank my monkey and take away my birthday?

I believe it's most likely derived from Wayne's World, but it's been a while. Haha.

I never noticed that. Probably because we usually have my wife's car and I put regular in that when I stop at BP stations.

I can't remember if it's 91 or 93 there but the last two times I tried to get gas there it was "out of order". I stopped trying to get gas there.

Thanks to everyone for the responses. There is a BP station in Burnsville not too far away so I am going to go check it out tomorrow sometime.

If it's the one right off 35 that's a good one. Has like brand new pumps.

Mix a couple gallons e85 (really e65 right now at my kwik trip). Two gallons e85 and 14ish gallons 91 premium should be pretty close to e10 and the bump in octane from ethanol should be 93.

Minnesota law requires gasoline to contain 10% ethanol. Except for the non-oxy fuel that is legal only for the previously mentioned circumstances.
