It's finally looking like we might possibly see the Black Mamba V2 make its debut this season. Hate to talk about the ladies like this but at the moment she does look a bit fat.
She's not that fat.... lolz I will come back to revisit this post..... electro-hydraulic power steering http://www.diyelectriccar.com/forums/showthread.php/power-steering-using-toyota-mr2-ehps-19505.html turbo?? What turbo???
If that is how the turbo will sit, you need to rework the pipe set. Turbos should be less than 15 degrees of level. Otherwise they don't like to drain properly, and the oil can drag on the bearings thus causing more lag.
Sure she is, how long has she been sitting in the same position. It's alright I like the big ones too.
I'mma see how long it'll last in that position. I looked inside the drain side with my little self. lolz there is a spot where oil will puddle at the rear seal. As the motor runs oil will continue to go that way if it doesn't get flung off the super fast spinning shaft. After that it does drain out of the bottom of the center cartridge since its tapered from what I can see. This is a test. If it dies, then this is too much angle. If it doesn't die....then this is nice experiment!!!
My question isn't about whether the turbo will die or not, but more of leaking oil into the exhaust along with hurting your spool. Turbos typically have seals that are like piston rings. They have a small gap at the bottom. It could seal up after a bunch of carbon builds up from oil burning off, but the oil pooled on the exhaust side is still there.
here's some progress today. Lots of cutting... and welding...and mocking up....and eying, etc. Forget the stock brackets.
There are a lot of other cars that are prettier. Pretty cars turns a lot of heads. Only a handful pay attention to what's under the hood.
ummm.... the current gc wagon top scoob is more inclined towards performance and mods.I believe if you submitted your project and purpose of the project you could stand a chance!
hahahaa Here's my STi cluster.... Zeitronix wideband, EGT, boost, oil press, and also custom modding a straight inducer/exducer to a 90*. Just needs to be glued back together.
Why worry about power when you can get two!!!!!! ........just playing with the TD04L's..... working on my crankcase breathing system. Trying a few things. Evap fitting now a boost gauge fitting. My oil pressure gauge retapped on another OEM oil pressure fitting plug thingy.
Wires all wrapped. If it looks stock, no one will know. Oil pressure sensor and MAP (boost) sensor. Will need to bring out more wires in preparation for oil temp and possibly water temp.
Are you blocking off the crankcase breather behind the intake manifold on the passenger side? I was told that it would be a good idea to do this on a EJ22T/EJ20 hydrid.
The crank case breather on the EJ22T I have blocked off. The water cross pipe runs right on top of it behind the alternator.
17x9 +38 clears Brembo's by like 10mm They do come like 3mm from the rear strut though on my '99 Impreza L Wagon. Coilovers tested and gives more space up to like 7mm clearance. Tire selection needs to be not so wide. I have a set of Nitto NT01's 235/40/17 to be wrapped on these wheels. This offset was only available in this color. I don't mind the color and will be paint it today to some other color. Test fitted on a '01 2.5RS with 5x114.3 STi spindle/knuckles on STOCK fenders; unrolled/not pulled.
they only weighs like... 22lbs. At least that's what it says on my scale at home here. lolz Edit.... I think they're like 22lbs.
I like the fit on those wheels, they should look pretty sexy on your wagon! what color are you thinking about re-doing them?
yups, on stock Impreza L front control arms and also the rear Impreza L lateral arms and trailing arms. Still waiting on the tires... however I'm going to repaint the wheels. Here's some progress with the STi cluster with the Instrument Cluster harness that was missing. Then reading online on NASIOC about modding the WRX harness and plugs to work with the STi cluster. Stupid fuel pump controller plugs have to be the male plugs on BOTH WRX TR harness and STi fuel pump controller harness. What do you do... SOLDER THEM!!!
Getting really close..... SO CLOSE!!! Getting the rear fuel pump wires ready and shot of the two cars I have to take care of.
WOW!!! Congrats man, was just reading through the thread... this is awesome! Hope to meet you and your wagon soon
nice it lives also like all the lights on the dash to... glad to see that wiring harness i found is working for you
thank you very much!! Works great!!!! LOL At the beginning, I didn't make a custom bracket so the belt was squeaking. I quickly (5min) made a bracket for it and stuck it on tightening the belt.
I found a plug that I can use to make the Zeitronix plug-n-play. I'll show you later. It's got PLENTY of pins.
Had to make the plugs for the Zeitronix unit. This makes it easier to unplug the unit and harness from the Bulk harness. Splicing the headlight plug for my headlights. Now my low beams stay on with my high beams when I put on the BRIGHTS. I like that!! Been driving her already and have about 500miles and boosting now at peak 15psi-ish on the TD04L. Lots of pick up and she moves pretty nice. The 6spd makes a difference too. Will do more tuning this afternoon; road tune via OpenECU.
