Gas pump clicks off constantly, and gas smell...

    The past few days when I try to fill up, the pumps keeps clicking off so it takes forever to fill the tank. Then, today while driving, I've got a pretty strong gas odor in the cabin.

    Filler tube issue? Anyone had any similar experiences?

    I had this happen again just recently..same vehicle. This time i propped open the fill tube "flap" with a funnel and I could hear the air burping out. A couple of hours later, no problem putting fuel in. It happens on my 05 lgt when I let the gas tank run really really low. I don't do that anymore:)

    My wife's Mini does this. I guess she needs to not let the fuel get too low either. Interesting.
