Gauging interest in tunning by Jorge (RiftsWRX)

Hey, where is this place? is there an awd dyno somewhere in the twin cities?

Also, i would love a custom tune, im in if this place gets the protuner.

Yes there are now 2 AWD dynos in the cities. Search the yellow pages for RS motors in Burnsville and you will get a hit on their info. We are bringing our own Subi tuner in from Chicago. His name is Jorge (riftsWRX on nasioc)and we brought him up here last year.

It is still a little early to tell if we can get you in but if you like we can put you as an alterniate.

RS moved to Burnsville with their dyno, Propulsun bought there own.

yeah, im only about 3 hrs from the cites here in Ames, but im outta school for the summer come may 6th. I got a vf34, bigger IC and bigger injectors for rex and put on the cobb stage 2.5 map, but i would like a custom tune and dont want to pay for the streetuner since i am going to start saving for an sti now and stop moding rex!

I ordered my utec today. i know i said i wasn't planning on gettin git until this summer but i threw another cel just cruising slowly around so i bit the bullet. if there are any openings i'll be in.

I don't think you have to pay it all up front i think it's just a 100.00 depostit. and the rest before he comes in june the only reason i sent all up front i'm having a kid so i don't now when i will have the money again. such is life!

OK folks, I will have to appoligize for some miss comunication between Erik, Jorge, and me.

We have some pricing issues we need to talk about. Jorge has raised his rates from last year and I was not aware of it. He went up from 75.00/hr to 100.00/hr. Unfortuniately, this was not comunicated to me that there was a cost increase.

In addition to this change Jorge is also bringing Amy this year and they are staying in a Hotel. Last year he stayed with me so there was no additional cost as he stayed at my house. The cost for the hotel is 225.00 for his stay here.

So as you can see we are upside down on the cost for the event 475.00 at this point, and this does not include the fan rental as well. At this point I am sorry but we need to raise the cost for the event by 100.00 per person. I am truly sorry for the problems but it would not be fair for any of the three of us to eat the additional cost.

For those who are in a guarenteed spot please sound off that you are still willing to get a tune done.

Ok guy's I need a favor. I need all of you to send me a email describing what you have for mods done to your car and what you plan on having on your car at the time of the dyno. Jorge needs some imput from you guys on what kind of tune's your looking for, what power level's you expect to achieve ect. and what engine managment route your using. The ABC is only needed if you are not able to hit your target boost with the boost map in the UTEC. I doubt you will have an issue doing that as most I know don't use it. With that said I have one as well that I dont use.

Ok, cool. I am a complete n00b when it comes to UTEC stuff. I just don't want to walk in there without it and have Jorge say, "Sorry man, if only you had the ABC...we could hit that mark." THe map selector isn't a big deal to me really. I can find one later I am sure. But if someone has that ABC, I will buy it from you...

I'm the same as Russ and Matt, I have one (mine's even hooked up) but don't use it. It's slammed shut as under normal circumstances--all coil packs functional, LOL--I have no problems hitting my target boost without it.

I'll will have a U-TEC,VF22,STI pinks,MRT TMIC,UP PIPE,DOWN PIPE, TURBO BACK,WALBRO 255,AND MIGHT HAVE THE TURBO XS BOV. I'm hoping to get 275-300 to the wheels. If Jorge needs any other info let me know,or if i'm just dreaming to get that horsepower also let me!

well a guy can dream right! maybe next year with the front mount and the header with the pe650 injectors! thanks for putting me in my place right off the top! o'well it will out run 99% of all the civic's out there so it's not all bad news but 300 is my goal next year}!
