Save you stock injectors and contact me. I can get ya some modded injectors that will flow around 650-680 (depending on how I drill them out) without the problems you will run into by cutting the caps off. Stay away from pe injectors.

Are talking about drilling out the stock ones or the sti injectors?
I've heard of people having alot of problems with the stock ones being drilled out. How much would you charge to help a brother out,if i can get the stock ones drilled out to 680 I will do that before Jorge gets here.Let me know! Thanks in advance J.J.

As an FYI for all the AccessPort people who've been asking. I just got done talking with Trey today, he's going to overnight me the non diclosure paperwork for the Protuner beta, and I'll have it in a few short weeks, with a more robust version (though the beta will be perfectly usable) by dyno time.

So, unless something happens between now and the beta roll out. It looks like we'll have proper AP support of custom maps for those who may have been thinking of an AP, now or at a future event.

?? I'm afraid I don't follow.

The dyno day is setup at a flat rate which includes the dyno time, my time, and just about anything you'd like me to do in those 2 hours. Get your minds out of the gutter..... :p

right yes, but 5 cars at 2(??) hours each plus dyno time, hotel and fan rental = x($$ammount) divided by 5...

i guess i havn't seen a flatrate per each quoted yet..

OK folks, I will have to appoligize for some miss comunication between Erik, Jorge, and me.

We have some pricing issues we need to talk about. Jorge has raised his rates from last year and I was not aware of it. He went up from 75.00/hr to 100.00/hr. Unfortuniately, this was not comunicated to me that there was a cost increase.

In addition to this change Jorge is also bringing Amy this year and they are staying in a Hotel. Last year he stayed with me so there was no additional cost as he stayed at my house. The cost for the hotel is 225.00 for his stay here.

So as you can see we are upside down on the cost for the event 475.00 at this point, and this does not include the fan rental as well. At this point I am sorry but we need to raise the cost for the event by 100.00 per person. I am truly sorry for the problems but it would not be fair for any of the three of us to eat the additional cost.

For those who are in a guarenteed spot please sound off that you are still willing to get a tune done.

I am so sorry for the issues please accept my appoligy

Sounds about right. 250HP (assuming the 15% change they claim between DD/mustangs vs. Dyno Pack's), that's 288 HP.

Typically FMIC vf22's average between high 280's and low 290's, so that's pretty **** close.

P.S., if that was the guy with the automatic and the VF22.. it was "kinda" tuned. Basically enough to cover what the turbo was putting out. IIRC it wasn't holding boost.

We are at 450.00 for two hours right now. RS has fans now so we do not have to worry about that. What is not covered is Jorges hotel (225.00) and hospitality. If you would contribute to that Erik and I would appreciate it.

lol, we keep talking in circles...i know how much it ran you guys last year..

i had originaly thought that the cost was going to be $475 per car[\b] for dyno time plus fan THEN $100 per hour for jorge's time making each comitment upwards of $700

if i am understanding this correctly now each person's comittment is $450 with a hotel and hospitality chip in...

WTH is going on here. Can someone come up with a reliable price quote? Seriously, this seems disorganized and I don't like paying into something that has hidden costs or costs unaccounted for. I don't know about you, but blindly throwing 700 to the wind with no idea where the money is going or why you are paying it is foolish. Can someone come up with a solid price quote for this shindig?

I'm not trying to raise a stink here, but I need to allocate funds for this. I have lots of other projects that can use money, but I don't want to put money anywhere for June until this tuning thing is settled. I can't very well budget my income when the price of this tuning has so far ranged from 450 - 700 dollars.

Sorry, yeah. I think my mind got spun up with all the odd posts. I am still in. I'll pitch some to the hospitality fund too.

And I have a quick UTEC question. Is the Stage4 FMIC TXS map good enough to run the car for a while? Is it pretty conservative?

Jason,

The Stage 4 map is plenty conservative, especially with fueling (in my experience). You would want to tweak the boost map and parameters to your liking.

Thanks Zola, I can't get rid of my AccessPort fast enough :) The UTEC is one of those mods that gets your heart racing because it has alot of functionality...especially when you have been on an AccessPort for about a year. I will probably just run the Stage4+FMIC map then, and get rid of my AP as soon as humanly possible.

there was never a clear quote per car until yesterday after i asked.

$350 was not quoted until page 2 then page 5 or 6 where it got bumped to $475, now we are at $450+ chip in.
you have to admit, it's a tinch confusing..
i am very thankfull that you and erik are arranging this, i know you both have alot invested in this and i want to be a part of it.
i just needed a little bit of clarification on my final $$

Rich,

About the only thing I can say is look at this.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=742559

Before you think the $275 for the dyno day spot is a great deal, bear in mind you're spending approx $160 in gas alone, before the inevitable hotel stay, unless you plan on doing the drives in one day, etc.

Recommendation... the first post should be edited, including all pertaining info. Fee's, times, directions, schedule, etc.

Reference the NASIOC thread for an example.

ALL: I've gotten the emails from Erik with all the mods of the people involved and I'll be emailing you guys shortly to discuss expectations as well as any recommendations I may have.

Matt: Give me a buzz when you got a chance, I wanna talk to you about the concerns you still know I have with your car.

Cheers!

Rich,

About the only thing I can say is look at this.

Before you think the $275 for the dyno day spot is a great deal, bear in mind you're spending approx $160 in gas alone, before the inevitable hotel stay, unless you plan on doing the drives in one day, etc.

This is fairly close to my freinds shop, and I was wondering if I might stop in and check it out while you guys are tuning?

Is there going to be room for butt-hangers to come watch and learn?

If so maybe we need to plan a gill out for lunch?
