Do all of the radiator fans have the same mounting points from GD chasis imprezas? I am looking for some OEM fans for an 04 STi and am curious if the fans from any other GD Impreza will bolt right in. I know that the older GC Impreza ones will not since the bolt holes do not line up.

I was able to hook up 02 fans to an 07 radiator if that helps. The fan harnesses are different between some years... but that's an easy fix.

I'm not sure if the overflow hardlines are intercangable between gd radiators tho... when was the change? 03? 04?

I am just looking for replacement fans for an 04 STi. I am wondering in the WRX fans have the same mounting points. I know that GC fans do not share the same mounting points.

I had my GC fans on my wrx rad for a couple years..... you just need to be inventive.

^ I guess that is one way of looking at it. From what I have seen it looks like the mounting tabs on the fans are too high and to the left of the corresponding points on the Rad. I might look into some custom mounting tabs tomorrow.

Have you tried looking at any sites that sell aftermarket fans? To determine if they use the same model # for wrx's and the 04 STi? Not sure who exactly sells that stuff, but I've used that method generally to guess at compatibility before.
