My 04 wrx is just over 80,000 and i need to do some maintenance. I am new to most maintenance on the wrx, so I need some suggestions on what and how to do them. I know I need to do spark plugs but have no Idea on how to do them. Can you do wires too? I need some help. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jacob
A good write up on the spark plugs: http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/maintenance-service-repair/46855-how-change-your-sparkplugs.html The thread recommends flex sockets, but I found my handy dandy little 1/4" drive ratchet fit where it needed to go better...I bought all the recommended tools, and think I used them all when I did mine, but I found the 1/4" drive to be the MVT in this application.
they are pretty easy...just go slow... the wires you dont need to replace due to the fact it is COP.. (Coil On Plug)
Here's another mainteance item that won't break the budget, and is also easy to do.. http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18486
