    2002 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon

    Transmission: 5 Speed Manual Transmission

    Mileage: 170,XXX

    Title: Rebuilt

    Price: $3,400 obo

I’ll start by saying that this car is in no way perfect, it has dents and dings on every body panel in addition to the rear quarter panel rust. The story from the previous owner was that it was in a rollover accident around 8X,XXX miles. In addition to this it also has hail damage. I use rotella synthetic 5w-40 oil in it, changing every 3,500-4,000 miles.

    Aftermarket Parts/Features:

    • Turbo Back Exhaust (M2 brand or eBay)
    • Hotchkis Front Sway Bar
    • Kartboy Short Shifter
    • Suede Headliner
    • Stage 2 tune from Bullwinkle

Their was a used transmission out of a 2004 wrx installed around 123,000 miles the transmission that was installed had 42,000 miles on it at this time. With that being said it still has the first gear synchro issue (Can’t shift into first very easily while moving) The clutch was also replaced at this time.

Overall the car runs & drives great but if you wanted it to be perfect you would need to address the cruise control problem (The cruise control is keeping the rpms around 1700K instead of dropping back to around 500K). I was thinking about about just disconnecting the cruise control in the summer time to remedy this. It also could use two new front shocks (They were replaced at 140,000 but we tried to reuse the dust boots so there not perfect anymore) Check engine light is on for P0457, its been like this since day 1 when I purchased it with 113,000 miles on it. The emergency brake could also use new brake shoes.

I’ve owned the car for over the past six yearend truth be told it has been the perfect car over that time period. I will add additional details as I think of them, and I will get some recent pictures tomorrow.

    Thanks

I have the same issue. Loosening the nuts to loosen the pressure on the line helps! I can't "unhook" my cruise. <3 it too much!

It's a pretty insignificant problem. GLWS!

Also, those look like ASA split 5 spoke 17's. I really like the look of them on there! ;)

I can explain more in detail if needed but here's a summary.

There's a little noise starting that I think may be the beginning of one of the wheel bearings. I haven't confirmed this and my be something else

The brakes need to be blead but are in good condition. I can't remember exactly how many miles are on them.

There are no stearing issues. I replaced top hats/struts a couple years ago and had NF install. We tried to reuse the dust boots with proved to be a mistake. So now the front shocks make a little noise.

I also can't remember if I said it in my add but the e-brake shoes should be replaced.

Let me know if your interested in and we talk more in detail.

    Thanks

Bumping this, i'd rather see this car go to a member. Can a moderator put the new price $3,400 in the title please?

    Thanks
