I'll be there for sure, I might be running a little bit late. Gotta take the wife to st. paul that morning. I live about 2 miles from bill's so it won't take me long to grab my stuff and go.

Bring the M14, I'd love to shoot one of those again. Also, I'm willing to pay for my own and Steph's ammo as long as others let me use it in their guns. Otherwise, I'm going to rent a pistol.

Seriously, I'm buzzed about this (and from the jag I've been drinking) i haven't shot a gun in years. Not since range day in the Navy. And that was with crappy 92F range pistols.

I just want to shoot a mag of M14 business. Also, the AR15 might be fun, but I'm not begging here. I will gladly shoot whatever anyone allows me to shoot at this point.

Depends on what you want to sight in really IMO. If you plan on using the 2x then bring the 2x, the eDot if you want to just raise and shoot.

E-dots are good out to at least 300m if they're sighted properly.

I was knocking down targets all day at 250 and 300 with my M16 and my reflex sight. My very beat up and not at all match-grade battle rifle.

Jason you and Steph are more than welcome to shoot my Colt1991 .45acp and my 10\22 if you like. As long as you don't go crazy I have plenty of ammo for both.

Jason, you're more than welcome to have a go with any of mine as well. My .22 is a riot to shoot because it's just plain fun. My .45 is a sweetheart, and my 12ga is a lot of fun as well. If you want to pick ammo up for any of the three let me know. The best round for my .45 is a 230gr FMJ. Don't get any +P ammo or hollowpoints. The +P stuff voids the warranty on the gun and hollowpoints are a waste of money at the range. My .22 just takes regular .22LR ammo, but I've found the reliability is a bit better with the high velocity stuff. It's cheap too, somewhere around 500 rounds for 10 bucks. As far as the 12ga goes, mine will take anything in 2 3/4 to 3in loads, for range shooting it's cheapest just to get some birdshot in the #8 range or so, still makes fun holes and you can usually find a box of 25 for about 10 bucks or so. It's a non rifled barrel, so if you decide to bring slugs just make sure they're for a smoothbore gun. I'm open to anyone using my stuff, there will be a few guns coming that I would love to try out.

    Oh yeah, my list:

    Kimber TLE II .45ACP
    Kimber Rimfire Target .22LR
    Remington 870 Police Magnum 12ga.

I will check with a couple of officer friends of mine and see if I can't score a couple more for the morning. For those of you looking to buy ammo and bring it, make sure you check out Bills website and make sure that your ammo is on the approved list. I know for sure they won't take CCI Blazer ammo because of the aluminum casings. They don't like having to sort through the brass to pull it out. That reminds me...Boomer, do you want us to save the brass for you to reload?

One other thought, it would be fun if we can get some cameras out there to document the massacre of these poor, defenseless paper targets.

    Sweet.

For those of you who've never been to Bills there are two parking areas, they have above ground parking on the top level, enter through the front door, walk to the back of the store and follow the stairs down. They also have a parking garage that leads into the store and directly to the range as well. I'm planning on getting there about 8:45 and I'll be parking downstairs. Just meet at the counter downstairs and we'll get things started.

Oh, Jason...If you're planning on doing a machine gun shoot make sure to call ahead and let them know to reserve it. I'm not sure what they require for lead time but I can't imagine they need a whole lot of it.

Sounds good, I've been kicking that idea around for a while. We'll have to get together one of these days and do some full auto stuff. I think if we can get 2 or 3 people in it'll keep the costs low, especially with 9mm ammo.

This year when I get the money, I've been tossing around the idea of picking up an HK94 or HK89 and converting it to SBR. Then pick up the SEF trigger group and get the whole thing legalized. I know there are legal routes, and that takes time, but I'd be happy to own one and let everyone shoot the thing at the range if I'm there.

I believe you need an MP5 reciever for the conversion too.

+1 The m14 sounds like alot of fun. I have never shot a .308 before. I am totally willing to buy some rounds.

I checked the approved ammo list. I have 3 boxes of jacketed hollow point .45 @ 185 grain. Is this alright?

Figures that my camera is in for repair!

Martin, check the box and see if there is a (+P) marking on the package. Usually the 185gr bullets are an uprated powder load to compensate for the lighter bullet. If it's non +p then it should function alright.

Correct. I've seen them do .50cal shoots in there so you'd have to bring in a howitzer to make a dent in the backstop. Check the restricted ammo list to make sure you're not bringing anything they don't allow.

Yeah, is there rules for moving handguns. I'm assuming it has to be in the back of the car with no ammo in it. I don't have trigger locks for the guns i'm bringing.

^ if you case them and have them in the back you shouldnt need trigger locks.

Brian: I found out that the .45JHP I have is a standard police load. This is left over ammo from a police training shoot. (lol i have some interesting connections) The box says its T.C.S. Enterprises. No where onteh box or shell casings does it say that it is a +P load. I will bring them with and you can take alook at them. worst case I will just buy ammo there.

Unloaded and cased is fine guys. Just make sure they are in the trunk or a not easily accessible location, ie Wagon guys put them in the cargo area, etc. You won't need trigger locks.

Martin, I'll take a look at the ammo and we can figure it out.
