Two questions Should there be any complications running the GM BCS in bleed mode (should just be a better version of the stock system I think)? What ports hook where to connect the GM BCS in bleed mode?
I'm confused...but that's not a first. I didn't think you could run the GM BCS in bleed mode like the stock unit, the GM BCS is designed as an on/off switch...so to speak. Look at this article. doesn't have your answer, but has some good information http://www.tarmacwolf.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=3-port_boost_solenoid
I've ran it in bleed mode. (thats where you are just bleeding the pressure off the diaphram, right?) I didn't have any problems, aside from the BCS not liking a frequency over 20hz. My Link allows me to set that. I'm not sure what the factory ECU runs the BCS at.
Yeah, I don't understand what you're asking, as well. The stock BCS is a bleed type system, and the GMBCS is a three port type. The link Shibbs posted is a good one at describing how the three port design functions, and does well to describe the benefits vs stock.
if i understand everything i've read so far, i can hook up the gm bcs like the stock one (leaving the t in the lines) this should be the correct bleed mode i just need to know which hose to put on what port or in other words when the stock bcs is not energized is it open or closed - i can figure it out from there
yes i know how to run in interrupt mode, but i can't do that without tuning and i'm not going to pay 150 to tune a 20 part once i get other upgrades i'll do it normally
i probably won't put it in but... every writep-up also mentions installing the 3 port in bleed mode but never says how. they all say this is a way to directly replace subaru's bcs without the need for a tune since little difference will be seen
