screw the northstar go with a ls1 or a lt1. they make kits and they make those things go like damn well
Those lambo kits aren't cheap or easy to put on!!! I worked at a shop and we did one for a customer not much of the original fiero chassis stays, after all the labor including motor swap was done and purchase price he almost could have just bought a used diablo! Although it was sick with a supercharged stroked and .6 overed LS1 it's not worth the effort.
Yeah, I think the Fiero looks good the way it is. Not so hot with the notchie, but the GT Fastback with the Aero nose is gorgeous.
Thats funny because I like the formula the best, aero looking front bumper and the notchback. The fastback is neat and all, but I like different things.
so...after you have either a turbo on this motor, or a swap in there, what do you plan on doing with it?
Lambo kitting a Fiero is pointless. With the amount of work needed to alter the body of the Fiero and the fabbing of panels and such, you are better off using your fabrication skills to just make a car from scratch. I vote LS1
Never a lambo kit. I like it the way it is. (save for a formula front bumer soon enough) As for an engine, it wont be any kind of v8, unless a northstar falls into my lap. Its going to be some kind of GM v6.
I'm just going to drive it, maybe drag race it, never autoX it, basicly just have some fun. I havent driven my impreza since I got it, its a riot, even though its slow as balls right now.
Throw your rocket motor in it, lighten it up a couple hundred pounds and put some Lambo doors on her lol.
Awesome! I've been into Fieros for many many years now, and am an active member of the MN club and the inter/national forum. First off, if you haven't been to Pennock's Fiero Forum (PFF) yet, go there first. Tons of info. Best Fiero forum out there hands down. http://www.fiero.nl/ There is a link to the forums on the left side of the main page. Next is the Mn club. Here is the site, they don't have a forum though, we all just use the main one (PFF). http://www.fiero.mn.org/ Also, just recently (last weekend) the Fiero community did a truly amazing thing for a young kid up in Frazee, MN. He has terminal cancer and no longer can finish the dreams he had for his Fiero. Through out the country people donated there time, parts, and money and fully rebuilt his car from the ground up for him. It truly was amazing and really shows you how great of a club the Fiero group is to be a part of. You can read the article on the main page of Pennock's Fiero Forum right now. I had planned to go up for the build last weekend but ended up having a baby instead so I was kinda busy! lol And as for the engine, I've driven/ridden in pretty much all of the common swaps (3800 SC, LS1, Northstar, 4.9L, etc.). I personally vote for the 3.4L DOHC, it definitely fits the car best, and I wouldn't have 3 of them sitting in my garage waiting to be built up if I thought otherwise! lol Anyways, hopefully you'll get a chance to show up to some Fiero events next year. I have a garage full of extra parts, so if you are looking for anything, let me know as I just may have it. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me as well. Happy Fieroing! -Jon
Lol I figured you would be. I rarely miss the word Fiero on any forum I go to, but almost missed this one with all the excitement over the weekend haha. :eek3:
Yup, just joined, very very informative! Glad to see there are both fiero fans here and subaru fans over there I'll definatly be making it to some events.
I might buy another one of those mid engine things..... I had a 85 Fiero and now am looking at a 80 Fiat X1/9
