As a lot of you have heard, a SubieEvents meet within driving distance of us was announced a few months back. GrimmSpeed is planning on being there and we want some of the locals to tag along so that they get a chance to see what these are all about; check out the event page for more info: https://www.facebook.com/events/2021306591444917/ -Art
Any idea what route you guys are taking yet? I90? Or back roads through Iowa to avoid tolls? Might have a couple cars join the convoy as you go by
It's not set in stone just yet, but I imagine we'll probably take the most direct highway route since the van is a hog to drive on smaller roads. -Art
Stickied! This should be a blast for anyone going. I know that if i was going, I would definitely be rolling with the GS crew!!
Her Royal Roundness, aka pregnant wife, says I'm in! Plenty of time to squeeze in a big show before the baby comes.
We've decided to give a free GrimmSpeed Windshield Banner to anyone in a Subaru that's making the trip with us to Subiefest! Just put down a time/day on this post that you can drop by the shop between now and the day of the trip and we'll throw one on your car for you! -Art
A few details for those rolling with the convoy; we'll be meeting up at the GrimmSpeed shop at 7am on Saturday the 7th, on the road by 8am. We're planning on taking the most direct route there (see picture) down 280S/94E/90E; expect some tolls toward the end of the drive. We will likely take a little break and do lunch around 4 hours into the drive near the Madison area (anyone have any ideas for food?). Our crew will be staying at the Wingate by Wyndham Joliet, in case anyone wants to crash at the same hotel as us (it never hurts to say you're there for the event to get some $$ off). -Art
