Anyone in the metro area (preferably west or northwest metro) own the Grimmspeed Crank Pulley Removal/Install Tool and would consider allowing me to rent it for a weekend rather than buy? I am all about collecting tools, but this is one I don't foresee needing much in the future...

I'm in Plymouth! Depending on what you are doing, I could also help you!

Honestly, if you have an able bodied person nearby...have them sit in the car, put it in gear (with the car off obviously), hold the brakes firmly and set the rear parking brake too (for good measure). That pulley isn't going to move. Use your biggest breaker bar, and a cheater pipe if you need, and crack that crank pulley bolt free.

I am in Maple Grove, I am doing the timing belt, water pump, t-stat, oil pump, belts, and a handful of seals. I have seen many options for getting it off without the GS tool, but figured I would use it if I could find one. Planning to tear apart Friday afternoon/evening and finish up Saturday. I would love another hand. I will PM you.

    Thanks for the input guys!
