Grinding in first gear

    No this guy was stealing accounts, they had great feedback but kept getting closed down. Weird AOL e-mails and wanting to do western union. NEVER go western union, pay pal only. To many false accounts with western union.

    But damn piddster, i sure hope your right, does your subaru do the same thing? This is going back to the grinding thing.

    Mine does the exact same thing, even when it had a fresh rebuild. From '90 to '02, 5MT's shared the same basic design. In '03, Subaru widened the gears. But anyways, having a hard time going into first when moving is completely normal. I think they did it to keep people from mechanically over-revving their engines. There have been people that have mechanically over-revved their STi's to over 11 grand, and suffered major problems from it.


    Don't worry. As long as you aren't dropping your clutch under boost, you'll be fine. Even then, when you do that, you strip the gears off the input shaft, not cause problems with syncros. Be nice to your 5MT, and it will last.
