I am running that turbo on my stock MAF (2002 2.0)... I don't know if that helps.

ok guys. Heres the e-mail i got back from jorge -

OK, this is my typical deal.

    5 cars a day, $200 a car, 2 hour spot per car, 10 hours a day.

All airfare, transportation, and lodging is shared amongst the group. If
someone wants to pick me up at the air port and shuffle me between the
hotel and the shop, great. There's that much money saved.

All dyno fees are the responsibility of the group. Ron's really good about it,
and he's been an absolute pleasure to work with.

With 15 cars, we could realistically do 3 days, like a Friday through Sunday.

I'd take the very first flight in on Friday morning, and I'll take the very last
    flight out on Sunday.

So figure two nights in a hotel, (~$230), and your average airfare of $150-
    $200.

What I'd HIGHLY recommend to you is to get prepayment. Because once
you give me the 'yay' to purchase a ticket and get the hotel, that is due up
front. Finally, I'd try and make sure you get full payment within a few weeks
of that day. Then you're not worrying about it on the day of. Because (and
this is the important part), if the car doesn't show up, or the car doesn't work
(it's their responsibility to make sure all the cars are in tip top shape prior to
that day) the funds are STILL due for their spot

This is going to really be a group effort. I'm going to need someone to head this up with me. If you would like to volunteer to be a leader for this one, that would be great. I cant really run this thing by my self. now we need to decide on a weekend to do this. Can we all agree on the third week in january? Please let me know as soon as possible so we can get the ball rolling on this one. Thanks guys

he did recommend i add a fee for me arranging all this but i thought that if we all chip in to help make this work, theres no need for that.

i'll check with ron to see what he can do as far as pricing for dyno time.

Jorge knows he is always welcome with me as well. It might just work out the best if I take care of him.

Fobia and bikerboy, that would be great if one of you guys could give him a place to stay. if you guys wanna shoot him an e-mail that would be awsome. Rich, i will see about your hydra as well:) so it looks like no one has any real big objections to the third weekend in january. I'll let this idea sit for a few days and if that seems to work i'll let jorge know

Yup, if you push it it might.

I was able to peg the stocker (ie, hit the g/s limitation inherent with that pos ecu) @ around 18 or 19psi with an 18g. There was still some voltage headroom but it's the ecu that holds you back.

Its official. Jorge will be comming up Jan 18,19, and 20. Rich, sorry to tell ya this. Jorge did say that he could do a hydra but to do it right he said it would roughly be around 6 hours since you have to kinda do it from scratch. It might just work out though if a few guys cancle, he might be able to do you the last day at the end. Its just we have 30 hours avalible, 15 cars at 2 hours a peice. Once I start collecting money for this I will know whether or not it will work. I'll keep you updated!!

what do you think "ballpark" the total cost will be per person? Talking about dyno time, is two hours a lot or is that bare minimum. Would you be able to do a couple of maps with that?

And Jorge is no jackwit either. He's one of the best tuners in the midwest.

$350 is a damn good deal.

That totally sounds reasonable and yea I've read a lot about Jorge and how good he is. What about the map question? Is it possible to do other maps for different fuel octane's during the same session.

Shorty, Please take me off the list. My clutch is shot and because of that there is no point for me to even try to get tuned right now. Im going to save up and redo the whole tranny. Dont want the clutch replaced and have to worry about the stock gears going out later. Thanks and Sorry..

I vote paypal as it's instant. Checks you'll have to wait to clear and some will mail and then there's the mail problem around Christmas. The downside of paypal is that we'd all have to bump our payments by 3% so that the full amount is there or we'd be short.

Maybe find out if there is some way that you guys could pay P&L over the phone with a CC, and then they could just give it to Jorge? This sounds like something that's worth a try in my head right now, but I am tired...

You need to gross up by 3% so ($350/(1-.03))=$360.83. Like Office Space, the organizer can round off the fractional cents FTW. :)

I hope to have my car into Grimmspeed in time to commit (and a slot is still available)...

I would say paypal is the best option. $350 plus i'd say another $25 a person for airfare as well. That comes out to $375. add on the 3% and thats $386.25. send the money to [email protected] and then i will transfer the money to jorge. We need to do this asap because jorge needs to buy a ticket soon. I say that the deadline is christmas, the 25th. when yo send me the payment, please just write your user name in the description box so i know it was you. If there was an over estimate on price for the airfare, we can always grab some pizzas or somthin while we are all at RS or somthin like that. get the payments in ASAP!!!!! DO NOT WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE, SOMETHING ALWAYS GOES WRONG. thanks
