Well this weekend saw a few trips to the bike shops in town and a bit more time working everything out, but all in all, my 1987 Dyno Compe restoration is complete (minus decals). I opted for only the rear brake for now. I'm sure I'll put the front on at some point but I am happy I have it back and can now go cruising with my son. I honestly think he is more excited then me, which is a lot as I am pumped to have it back up and running. Friday night was spent picking up new tires and then re-greasing all the bearings in the hubs of the actual GT wheels I picked up last fall. Saturday was spent putting the wheels on and running to grab the remaining parts like the brakes and pedals. Unfortunately the pedals were the wrong size at 9/16", the crank on the bike is the less common 1/2", which really sucked as the pedals I picked out were bad a**. Sunday had one more trip to the store for the right parts and at about 3pm I took it out on its inaugural ride. On to the completed pictures
Its not a old school Freestyle bike, but here is another Bike resto I did for a friends Beach Cruiser
And this was by no means a complete job, but My buddy had me Coat his wheels and water bottle cage on his mountain bike.
