The problem isn't that we all don't have money, the problem is that we all sit around jerking off to other people doing **** when we ourselves could be doing ****. And since we're on the topic of money, how much do you think it costs to go to rally school for a week? I'll tell you, because I did it: $5,000. Was it worth it? I don't drive stage rally because my heart is in other places, but yeah, it was worth it. Do I feel more confident going sideways down a dirt road with 450hp on the tip of my toe? Yes. Would I trade that $5,000 for anything else? Never.

Performance driving costs money. Money and time. That narrows the pool a little bit. I'm sure there's a perfectly talented driver chopping sugar cane in some Southeast Asian country somewhere, but they'll never know because they didn't start a shoe company and find a legion of douchebags to finance their car porn career. What, what?

Well then part of the problem is that people don't have money. Second, why is it always about the south east Asian countries, leave them and their jobs out of this! Third; what what?.....in the butt

Just because you have money doesn't mean you can drive. It does require a certain type of person to drive well. I agree that money helps you better your odds, get in seat time and become a better driver. Just because you can afford school, doesn't mean you can apply the education. Same as any sport Bro.

You don't like Block, that's cool dude. No one cares. To say that anyone can do it, that is where you are wrong. You could make a more educated comment.

You have confused "well-articulated" with "managed to type a coherent post without drooling on themselves". Were your post well-articulated, it would have stated anyone might be a top tier driver given infinite time and resources. Instead it stated anyone can be a top tier competitive driver given infinite time and resources. Subtle but distinct difference (in articulation). It requires both skill and time/resources.

Yep, ginormous dildo. Studded for her, or his pleasure.

**Just wanted to clarify for Brian/Emily and get back to the decensy of this thread, before the whole "Days of Our Lives" drama started up all willy-nilly like. I drive better than all of you bishes, and i'm broke....so now what!?

You're assuming anyone regards Block as a top tier driver. I would never suggest that. I would say he's a decent stunt driver, and he has quite the media force behind him. He's got a great marketing team. And he's managed to pull off some well-designed stunts. Top tier drivers in rally? Loeb, Solberg, Hirvonen, Pastrana (maybe), McRae, etc. Block isn't one of them; he is a stunt driver now. He gets paid to make movies not win races.

Let's reiterate: he gets paid to make movies, not win races.

All of that being said, you'd be right about articulating my point if you'd actually quoted anything I wrote and used it as an argument against me. I believe the statement you are referring to is, "I'm sure there are millions of people out there who could do what Block has done, if they had the cash or the training." This isn't an argument about top tier drivers. Block isn't one. Both his Rally America and WRC records have made that obvious. This is an argument about anyone being able to be a stunt driver, like him. Wanna make movies? Go to stunt driving school.

Stunt drivers have a union, just like janitors, and an eHow article about how to be one.

All of this player hating is ridiculous, because I do actually respect Block, in a way--not because of his driving, but because his real genius is in marketing and design. Well, maybe not design. I guess I'm not a fan of flat bills and DC Shoes and Monster Drinks, and donning that **** on your car or your person doesn't make you a fan, it makes you a walking billboard, or a tool, or a brotato.

Point being. I'm bored with Block. I want to see an American driver be recognized as a decent driver in the world of rally. I'm looking in Pastrana's direction, but he also seems to have lost his drive (no pun intended) for stage rally greatness. The most exciting person to watch in North American rally today? Antoine L'Estage, Chris Duplessis, anyone who drives with Wyatt Knox, and of course, the local talent: Carl Siegler and Dave Goodman. Check out Adam Yeoman and what he's doing with FY Racing...really cool stuff, with some great videos.

First of all you don't need to hate on the brotatoes. Second, idk where you have been living, but welcome to America where just about anything you own is a advertisement. So to call someone a tool for being a "walking billboard", remember that when you put on anything that has a logo on it. Forget about wearing anything to support Subaru then right?

I'll keep wearing the brands I like, being a tool, ricer, and brotato.....thanks

Yeah... generally speaking I assume anyone who gets picked up by a factory team to drive in top tier events is a top tier driver. I can't think of a better way to define what top tier means. He's not the best and brightest among the other top tier drivers by any means, but he drives in top tier events.

Thanks for clearing up the remaining ambiguity.

You know what Gymkana 6 should be?

Ken block and the focus without any decals and an actual muffler on it. Sneak around town finding hella flush car shows and doing impromtu gymkana between the rows of their cars.

Except even better: Ken Block jumping over fan bois in an STI, Pastrana filling the interiors of their cars with burned rubber smoke, and the crew of Jackass dumping fully loaded porta-johns from cranes onto stanced out idiotmobiles.
