2009 outback h6, recently when shifting there is a hesitation and lag. There is a clear jerk when going from one gear to another, on upshifting. This only happens a couple of times a day. The car is driven gently on city streets and highways. This is not limited to a particular gear as far as I can tell. what do i look for and how much should i worry. The car has 90k miles and recently was serviced at the dealer but did not have a transmission fluid flush or any transmission work done.

When was the fluid done last? Does it only happen when it's cold? How about fully warmed up?

not sure when the fluid was done It was not done on the recent 90k service, so suspect at 60k. It happens when warmed up. It has not happened today

took it to Morries. They said the fluid is ok, maybe a little dark, done 30k miles ago. They felt the jerk once when the car was cold but could not reproduce it.
it came back today. Will take it back to Morries, but if no resolution then what?
