All I can say is, "If Brent comes near your car, check your E-brake." Tough to drive quick with the boat anchor deployed. Hey Mark, I found Brent's nickname we've been looking for, its "E-brake"! Amy
I'm unstoppable... even by E-brakes!!!! :eek4: It was a little doggy, but man could it rotate! E-brake, I don't need no stinking E-brake  Cuz they don't smell very good. hnoes: <-me Amy-> :nono: :wavey:
I almost forgot this thread was all about smack talk. So, since I'm new to all this I'd appreciate you take it easy on me when I'm out there. At least for the 1st 10 minutes BTW- is there really anyway to get DQ'd from the event?
Mostly only if you drive like a wingnut and don't heed the warnings of the Safety Steward. I would advize against hitting the new timing equipment too, = a fine and a verbal flogging. They do try to keep them out of the trajectory of cars though. Don't sweat it too much. You'll have a lot of fun. Amy
In all seriousness, yes. Acting in an unsafe manner, not heeding the directions of the eventmaster and safety stewards, not working the course when you're not running, things like that. We haven't had to do it very often, but it has happened.
They especially don't smell good if you drive with it on for A MILE ! I can't believe he thought it was normal for the Leggy to be that sluggish. A little pink mist maybe. He did get a dope slap for that one though. I'll stop reminding him after a long while but then might just switch his nick name to clutch drop.
good to know. Thanks Mark and Amy...no worries about me, I'm very safe. I just didn't want to do something dumb that I should've know about ahead of time.
And that's with 2 wheels tied behind its back! Just wait till I add a tmic and manual boost controller on Amy
DQ?? There is a DQ in Milaca just north....yummy....ice cream....Timing and Scoring likes ice cream....
Maybe after an event, but never during. That would make Mark put on his Safety Steward Hat And it isn't just any booze. I have my preferences.
is anyone willing to transport my wheels to the event? due to my seat switching i'm losing my stock belts and I don't think i can fit the rally wheels in my car with harnesses
if i can get them to stacy, i can get them to princeton lol i'm looking at someone like... josh! or emily!!
I can bring them If we can fit mine and yours in there...and if you help me switch mine at the event.
It's a field. I don't know that it has been used for animals anytime recently, but without knowing for sure, I can't declare any of it a crap free zone. I'm sorry.
If I can make it out, I can drive my truck and carry a bunch of wheels..... I should know by the end of the weekend if I can make it or not. Russ
Likewise, I'll be driving my truck there, as I need to tow in the cones, etc, so I can haul a bunch of tires if need be.
Registered. I don't see Mark on the list so I figure I might have a chance at FTD. For now. Although, Brent sure knows how to make the Duster move
Well, I know that Mark and Brent will both be there. Your best bet for taking FTD is to let Mark wrap the championship up on the 7th, and hope he doesn't feel like towing and competing at the last two. That's the only time I ever got 1st O/A. I'm in a quandry. If I make the course really tight and twisty, then i can slow down brent (welded diff don't do much good if the course is too tight), but then Guy will win M2, and that's not any better for me. Guess I'll just have to design a fun course instead of using it to defeat my rivals. Drat.
You know, I am not invincible. Just put your foot in it and steer. Do we need another Goey vs. Stoppy foot lesson? Here's another old standby, "Stand on it Stroker!". (Anyone under 30 may need an elder to interpret for them).
Stroker Ace, a classic movie. I'm more of a Smokey and the Bandit guy. Even better how about the classic Kenny Rodgers stinker, "Six pack" I will continue to add more goey foot as my driving skills progress. Experience will bring speed, and I'm short on both. Boy is it a good time how ever you finish.
When was the last time someone beat you? Two years? Anyone other than Brent since Paul Koll moved away? Thing is, I think you're faster now (for RallyX) than you were back when you were running the GrN car. The 2.5RS is better set up for rallyx, for one, but you're not so focused on rally and the national series, and I think some of that focus has come over to rallyx and that's made you faster. I think it was you, once years ago who described stage rally as setting up for the best way through any corner, while rallyx didn't allow for setup after one element before the next. I think you've gotten even better at seeing and driving the compromise line through several elements that is required in rallyx these days. You used to trade occasional FTD with Paul. I also beat Paul back when, and I know that I'm a lot faster than I was then. I might not be faster than Paul now, but I'm faster than Paul was then, if that makes any sense. So you must also be faster then you were then. As you say, it's all about experience, and right now in rallycross, who in the area can touch your expereince, and has been active enough? So currently, you're the standard to measure against.
well mark may have the FTD, I for sure will have the FCD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ...Fastest Cone Destroyer:laugh: This is going to be fun. Going to home Depot to get my magnets today. Will register Monday/Tuesday
i think jim has gotten a few FTDs over mark in the past. i remember some good battles with todd in the vr-4 too. and then of course there is the famous cpd-1 event... yeah, mark is beatable.
I put unspecified on the registration because I didn't know for certain wht class I'd need to run. 2004 wrx- not stock I can pay when I get there? (I just registered. )
