Welcome to MNSubaru? Or is this an alias? Prezwagon is currently planning to be there. However, I am planning to repeat the codriver thing for a while, so Oktoberfest and Dirty Jack-O-Lantern will be open. I can't say for certain that I'll be doing both, but I will more then likely be there.
Tim the Plumber and I will be meeting at inver grove heights wal-mart at 7:45 and leaving at 8, if anyone wants to join us.
still 50 50 on going down......have some stuff here to do but yet want to get out of doing it.......might come down for a lil bit and mid day pop smoke. as of now count me in for the drive down.....from there ill play things by ear.
Wooo! I had a blast. I started off pretty slow and got comfortable as they day went on. I learned some car control and had a blast! Ill be at the october 4th rallyx for sure
Nope i almost lost control of the car right before the exit so i parked it and got a ride home. I ended up towing it back earlier tonight. Hopefully we can get it going again for the 4th Mike
cant believe I missed this !! darn flu/cold!!!!!!!!!! it can go to that burning place...only rallyx ive missed so far..oh well next month!! its on..
Well, my car is almost clean again. Thanks to everyone that organized and ran the event, it was a lot of fun. It was my first time running my WRX, having twice the horsepower compared to my OBS is going to take some getting used to... it's fun though.
Thanks. I'm hoping it at least _looks_ fast in the pictures. It'll take a while before I can drive it as fast as my old OBS, I was way more comfortable with that car.
Cleaned the Balt as soon as I got home haahah....Dusty!..lol Will get the pick up as soon as possible...most likely all done by the end of this week! ....Some really nice shots!
Here's a couple of runs from the M4 group today. Sorry for the poor quality, I just had a cheap camera and decided to take a bit of video after I finished my runs.
Any video is good video! Wait a second! You were supposed to be out there collectin dust and callin cones like the rest of us!
I was in M4, I shot that video of M4 after I finished my runs in that set. I think those were the last runs of the day too. I was out working when I was supposed to.
Yeah, that was cool. I was in my car near the start line when that happened, so I had a nice, dust-free view of the event.
Anyone that has decent pictures (specifically of the class winners), please contact me! Sorry for the delays yesterday. Hope everyone had fun!
can you tell me who all won the classes? besides SA i dont remember, i am working on a pic thread now
Thanks for the vids guys. I love my boxer rumble. LOL, at Mark's "frustration"! I can't imagine running in that dust with only window nets! Amy
Thanks for the fast posting Mark! I need to get faster in my first run set! I had good times in last two (beating Dan both times ), but I had too much ground to make up from a slower first set. Amy
 ...and his official name is????? Tall Dan Moores! looks like you folks had a great battle and M4 walked away with the top placements..congrats! Don't worry Amy, I'll be out there next month...you can beat me
It's not as much of an M4 bloodbath as it might appear. Due to course changes between run groups that I don't think the overall rankings are really accurate. If the course had been able to stay the same I'm sure there would be cars from the PA/SA/everyeonelse rungroup in the top ten.
Bah! I was kind of disappointed in myself for this event. I really think I could have been up to 4th or 3rd in a more appropriate driving mood. Never once did I come across the finish line feeling like I really pushed the car, i.e. holding your breath thinking "that was sketchy" kind of driving. For me, that's kind of saddening because I really like to be at the point or I don't feel like I accomplished what I should have. Still, I'm surprised I did so well. I really figured going into this even that the higher powered cars would have owned this event given the moderate straights. On a harder packed surfaces I'm sure that would have been the case. It was a fun event regardless and I think the first time I've actually spun my tires at an event , highlighting how fluffy that ground really was. I really liked the more technical course, but it's sad the surface can't hold up. I'll throw out a preemptive big +1 for finding some gravel to allow these kinds of configurations for a full event. I could throw my 10 lb. heavier stock steel hood back on... But it's more fun trying to pull a 1st place finish out of my...um...derriere in M4. One day... There was a Derek Bangs that had a really great time in a PA WRX back during the Thin Ice event. However, he's never done another event this year since. He ran significantly faster then me that event.
so I heard......bummer. but on the other hand Joel....why are you in PA...shuoldn't you have a big turbo in that car? Ya know I'll help you with the install!
I actually ran in M4, although my car might have qualified for PA. And I don't need any more horsepower for rallyx, going from (maybe) 100whp to 220whp is a big enough change for now.
i didnt come in last ha but my run times got better as the day went on, hopefully ill be more competitive at the oct. 4th
