Just install a Pioneer P3-Series cd player in my mom's 97 Honda Odyssey today and got this issue. I installed lots of Cd players b4 and never got this issue. After installation deck works fine but when I turn off the engine and turn on again I would loose resume play. I have to manually turn on the deck. After turning on the deck it starts from track one again BUT the thing is the equalizer is still on the setting where I left it. Its just not resuming play after I turn on the engine. Did I miss a wire or what?

Here's my oem diagram here: http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/stereodetail/1064.html

^...I remember not seeing a BLUE/WHITE from my oem hardness. Only power wire is YELLOW & RED wires.
If I remember correctly, the only wire from the Deck that doesn't have a match is BLUE/WHITE which I believe to be a remote wire to an amp. There is no BLUE wire from the deck. So i'm assuming this BLUE/WHITE is the remote to an amp. There is an ORANGE wire w/o a match from the oem hardness. I match them together but still the issue remain.

    Any ideas?

I can open it up again and confirm all color codes/match wiring if that helps.

My honda had the same issue, You have to reverse one of the power cables on the OEM side to the deck. The constant and the switched are backwards.

^...you mean like YELLOW to RED and/or RED to YELLOW instead of RED to RED & YELLOW to YELLOW?

I think I remember putting all YELLOW & RED into one not bc if I dont do that the deck wouldn't have power. YELLOW to YELLOW and RED to RED would NOT power the deck So thats why I put all YELLOW & RED together..

Use your tester, find out which wire in the car harness is hot constantly, this goes to the yellow wire on the deck. Now find which wire in the car harness is only hot when the key is in the Acc/run position, this wire goes to the red wire on the deck.
