sorry to be so urgent but i'm supposed to do something for the MIL today and she's 150 mile
round trip! so, after getting our headgasket replaced several months ago and all was fine i looked
at the overfill tank and the level was low. crawled under and saw the coolant is leaking from both
ends of the cam cover (ft cover that covers timing belt). also, i checked the oil and it was down a
quart. [it uses a little oil so i check frequently] here's where it gets tricky--i overfilled the oil several
days ago by a good 1/2 inch on the stick. i thought it would good use it up but i have been concerned.
do you think i could have blown a seal that could be causing the coolant to leak out? is there a seal
that when blown can cause the coolant AND the oil to leak out? thanks for any info, but i'm trying to
see if this cant wait until Monday when i can get it to the shop...
    jim

i'm beginning to think its the water pump :( probably not related to
the oil being low. that sucks...

Check all of your fittings and make sure it's not a loose clamp or a bad hose. If you do the water pump do the timing belt and idlers at the same time.

yes, i'm not out of the woods yet. tightened the clamp and havent
seen it leak since but it STILL has coolant leaking out of the cam
covers? guess it is the waterpump :(

is it normal or possible that a bad waterpump can still let you
    make a 150 mile rt?

Got behind the timing belt cover then got flung around by all the moving parts causing it to look like its leaking all over the bottom of the cover?
