So this noise just popped up a couple of days ago. Please tell me its not one of the timing belt tensioner pulleys. I have plans on doing the timing belt this summer since my car only has 92k on it. And I believe the mileage interval is 105k for the timing belt. Any who heres the noise help me diagnose it.

Only way to know is to diagnose further. Remove the drive belts one by one and see if the noise stops. If it doesn't then it's in the timing components.

yeah same here. I was ready to do the overhaul i planned for the summer next weekend lol!! Put stock exhaust manifolds back on new gaskets, timing belt, valve cover gaskets, fix oil drain leak from vf39. Phew!! relieved, now I can have time to port the stock manifolds.

I was wondering how much the ac tensioner pulleys were. Looks like I'll have to hustle the subie dealer again. How do u remove the threaded part? I just removed the whole tensions assembly since its winter. Didn't take the time to look at the pulley.

remove the nut in the middle of the pulley, when you put it back in leave the nut loose.
