Please keep your eye out on Facebook and Craigslist. Sometime over the weekend my Work wheels were stolen from my garage. They are Work VS-XX wheels in a staggered offset with gunmetal faces and polished lips and hardware. Pics:
Maybe it was someone you previously showed them to, since you posted a for sale post on these wheels. still the sadness with them stolen. Low life thieves...
If anybody sees anything, please either contact me immediately or call the ramsey county sheriff's office and reference case number 15036399
Just saw Jenny's post about it, I'm really sorry . I'll share it on a few fb pages. Hope they're found.
Thanks. With the value of the wheels it was a felony theft, so if they catch these ****ers they are going away.
I second readymix's comment. Maybe set up a search alert on Craigslist so it emails you automatically. Same with eBay. You could also try getting in touch with some of the pawn shops in town that buy wheels, and some of the sketchier wheel sellers.
Maybe post in the MN Honda Recover Crew group on FB as well, they have connections around the city that keep an eye out for stuff like this. https://www.facebook.com/groups/881931561832175/
Sorry to hear man, that really sucks. Is transponder access needed for the garages there? I wonder if it's someone who lives in the building.
Renters insurance should cover them if they were not on the vehicle and in your designated spot of a secure underground parking or garage.
What a low life scuzzball. I'll keep a look out for them. Unique wheels, just going to be a difficult color to spot.
Damn man, sorry to hear! What a lowlife asshole to steal these things. You just got them all finished and perfect right? I agree, renters insurance should cover this if you can find receipts for everything. Good luck.
with most companies and big databases now it shouldnt be hard to have receipts reprinted or having a invoice re emailed to you. good luck ,derpy.
Maybe don't post it in 1,000 places because maybe you can catch them trying to post them forsale... If you post a million times you're looking for them, they won't try and sell them right away.
Sorry to hear that happened. I'm guessing by what Shorty said you had them in a underneath garage at a apartment complex. Normally they have camera's in that place and they didn't catch someone loading or leaving with them? I'll keep a look out on craigslist for you.
Cameras came to my mind as well. I've done multiple searches on Craigslist a few times today already and will continue to keep an eye out. Good luck
I'll keep my eyes open, ****ty that someone stole them. That probably means they are dumb enough to sell them on line though.
Renters insurance covered it, got paid, replaced with Enkei PF01s. *shrug* apparently they had a suspect at one point based on some video, but I guess it never went any where because I never heard further. I'm just moving on. Insurance treated me right, I have wheels to drive on, not going to dwell on it.
This just happened to my daughters Camry last week around Phalen area that left her high & dry I will defiantly keep an eye opened. F*#$@*7 punks
I used to live on the corner of central and magnolia near Phalen and that doesn't surprise me at all. Glad my car was garaged.
Lucky my summer set wheels takes two bolt patterns with locking lugs!. So I got the winters on early and now need to by myself a new summer set. She lives on Macfee, Larpenteur & Alrington.
Not looking to stir anything up but I did see a white Volvo wagon in SLP with very similar wheels today. What caught my attention was the color and offset. Glad you got it covered by your renter's insurance though.
lulz, so update of all updates. first, i get a text from @Tash last night: all my wat. I work 8 to 5, so i couldn't go to the pawn shop this morning, but my wife went down, waited for an officer, and went in. Sure as ****, they are my wheels. Now, I had already been reimbursed by insurance for the wheels, so I couldn't just take them back as surrendered evidence as a result of the investigation, as that would mean paying back the insurance company. However, the manager of the pawn shop was willing to deal, so we bought my wheels back for a hundred bucks more than the shop paid out. Cops were cool with it, Pawn Shop was cool with it, most importantly my Insurance company was cool with it (I called and made sure), and I'm cool with it. Long story short, I bought my wheels back for an extremely low price after getting paid for the loss by insurance, and insurance is fine with it since it was a purchase. Happy endings all around. Now I can put them up for sale again
was that 450 a wheel? If not Im going to start shopping pawn shops. (jk grats on the recovery) Also did they tell you who it was or are they going to when they follow the short trail back to the seller? Had to be someone or their friend from the building right?
