LOL, I knew that post would milk some tears. Also, +1 internet for saying "grow up." Would have been +2 internets if you had used the "I'm rubber you're glue..." thing instead. But, 1 internet is better than 2 amirite?
 from what i understand there's been more drama between mods/admin/elders than i could ever produce, even with kevin by my side. when you point 1 finger out, 4 point right back at you. love, shannon
But everything you find and read on the IE and magazines are all true so how could a noob be wrong? Unless maybe you're asking for real life experiences, that's where Youtube comes in. That's my friend!
I know I have little to say in the matter, but this thread should be locked. It started off well enough about trying to raise the quality of the forum, but this is making it worse now. It is just further alienating 'noobs' and putting the 'elders' on a higher pedestal. It's not helping anything get any better, it is just making the existing problem worse.
If you 'elders' don't want to repeat yourself then don't. It's as simple as that. Nobody is holding a gun to your head telling you to answer every silly repeat question. I really like this forum, and you guys are right, it's more of a hang out than a library of info. So relax and just hang out. No need to complain about the introwebs and people lookin to learn. Btw, I think we clarified maybe I'm not a noob (cool), but now I want to know how to become an 'elder'. I hear that 'elders' are super wise and have a huge E-penis. This true?
You make a good point and I cannot deny that. The trouble is, I don't even own a car newer than 1993, yet I can find this stuff with a simple google search. Search for "Subaru turbo upgrade" and you get 13.9 million results. That can be a bit overwhelming, and I understand. There is a lot to sort through, but well documented threads are out there and results are results. Proven Power Bragging on NASIOC requires people to back their **** up. SO I really don't feel bad for people that cannot sift through the BS. We get a bit frustrated when the people asking these questions cannot answer the basic questions that are at the core of modifying a car. Two questions stand out. "What are your goals?" and "What are you willing to spend?" These answers are pulled kicking and screaming only to receive disbelief and chastising for one's honesty. I quote, "mods order!! whats best? ."
you dragged me into this thread. readymix, check maturity, check errrrrr wait n0.. piddster is a smart individual, enjoy his posts quietly since they are valid and feature common sense. take notes and attempt to apply.
No crying here, and Shannon and Kevin can DIAF for all I care If a car dealership goes out of buisness, do you blame the people who didnt buy cars or the people who run it? Seems legit to me? Not trying to call one person out, just stating what I think is true.
so what ur saying is the car dealerships that were closed by ie chev for instance during their bankrupcy closed because of the people running the dealerships?? i think not. yes there are times that the people that run the places are to blame other times they are not.
no i was just running with his example of how when something fails its managements fault not the people who use the service. meybe i read what he posted wrong idk
I blame the sh1tty product they sell!!! ie if the forum you read doesnt offer anything interesting then leave... or pop in once in a while to say hi, laugh then leave....
Ok, every time I see this thread title i think of The Descendents "Sour Grapes." It keeps getting stuck in my head, but I don't mind.
