Well, someone "updated" the code for the site, and I can no longer see the search button, nor new posts, nor any of that stuff above there. (I blame Firefox again) Anyway.

I'm installing my ApexCone HIDs soon, and I want to know how big of a hole i need to drill in my caps.

Does anyone know, or have an assortment of larger drill bits that I could borrow for a few minutes?

    FYI---

    2007 WRX
    H7 low bulbs
    55w ApexCone ballasts

There's enough overlap on the gaskets that that would work fine too. I think 3/4" was the smallest possible hole to fit the connectors through. I know that pulling the gasket through was a very tight fit, but I figured that way it would be less likely to ever leak.

Ya, if I had to do it again I probably would have done a smaller hole. Both my headlights have condensation in them now. Im going to take them apart and black them out and seal them up real good.

Yours is very similar. They're really not hard - I just wanted to know what size drill, otherwise its very self-explanatory.

Just thought it would be helpful. Figured a lot of the steps were similar and setup was similar as well. Found it when I was searching for my car.

Yah but I am a R-tard when it comes to electrical stuff and I really dont want to go in there pulling on things that I am not certain of.

on the back of some of the headlights they have a plastic cover that goes over everything and covers all the wiring. ours does not have it but I know box's legacy had them. I dont recall what bulb his car takes but I know it is different then ours.

Reading it is hard - it isn't at all once you have the stuff in front of you.

    I believe 5/16" shank.

LEMME GET MINE INSTALLED FIRST, JEEZ!!!

Its best to get the kit in your hands, then its much easier to figure out.

The simplest I can put it into words is:

Plug balast to where bulb is supposed to go, then balast plugs into new HID bulb.

Basically its just adding a bit of wire and a balast in between your stock harness and the new bulb.

My CNLights for my 07 Wagon req'd ~1" orifice in the stock light cap. The inside the engine bay DRL delete failed after the car "learned" around it. I need to do the pin removal under/behind the glovebox but large men and Impreza footwells pair poorly.
