i know you guys have all been waiting for our redesign of our old hiflow crossover to come out...well i finally have some spy photos of it and boy does it look BEAUTIFUL. i can tell you right now its was definitely worth the wait.

little background...we came out with our original HiFlow crossover end of last summer and we sold them so quickly we just couldnt keep up with demand. we put the v1 hiflow crossover to sleep with an insane group buy on nabisco that sold out immediately. We had a ton of people on the back up list because they wanted a round 2 of the group buy..at that time we new we needed to produce these differently, more quickly.

    and that brings us here.

    Specs:
    -HUGE 12mm stainless steel flanges
    -2" stainless steel piping
    - flex joint
    -pure hotness
-direct replacement of tiny/restrictive stock crossover(remember, 50% of your exhaust goes through this piece)

Spy Shots (next to our PnP/Ceramic Coated Stock Xover)

i'd be seriously interested in one of these...
How big is the pipe compared to the stock peice?
i can't afford to loose any boost pressure... but am always looking to increase spool.

as long as it meets those needs, price these right, and the autocrossers will be all over 'em before going to a full on header.

the stock is around 37mm and ours is 50mm. most of all you'll notice smoother boost transition.

we should be looking at 159.99 for uncoated, 179.99 coated

    Think i'll pass,
i'm looking for something to match the stock size, but reduce turbulance, thus improving exhaust velocity.

The larger bore may help the guys looking for high boost smooth things out, but when I've gotta run the stock turbo and boost maps, i need to keep the velocity up for faster spool.

you should make an optional smaller diameter one for people who want really really fast flow.

btw does anyone have access to fluent or anyother fluid flow modeling program?

I think it's time to take another look at your understanding of fluid mechanics.

Pfft, whatever... don't make me start busting out quotes from the jesus light era.

Haha, I'm supposed to know what the hell that means.

I literally have pages and pages of this stuff. I had this real nutty professor in school who refused to make students buy text books. So he would lecture using his hand written notes from like the 50's or some crap.

My first post basically says the velocity will increase as the cross sectional area decreases, and vice versa.

This next one... I have no idea, I'd have to think about it. But it somehow looks applicable to turbo setups.

[hijack]The second one is just stating that if you turn the flow of a fluid there will be a reaction force equal to the force of turning the flow.

The problem with these examples is that they are neglecting friction losses and turbulence induced by the flow through the pipe. [/hijack]

    Nice crossover.

Notice that's only page 3 and 21 of the notes... that was just the first couple weeks! Frictional-adiabatic flows popped up around page 120 of the notes. I'll save you guys the migraine and not post up those notes ;)

Back on topic... where exactly does the cross-over fit in to the exhaust flow.

    L-R manifold >> ??cross-over?? >> up pipe >> turbo >> down pipe >> cat back.

    Someone clue me in, I'm a n00b.

i think i'm gonna try to ninja our fluid model program liscense at work one night and model up a subaru exhaust system.

personally i like violent spool up so i would go with the smallest diameter pipe that doesn't cause turbulent flow.
