    Hey guys,

Yesterday while picking up my son from school, someone hit my wrx wagon leaving damage, large dent, cracked paint, and pushed fender/bumber cover in a bit by rear wheel driver side wheel. The person just took off and left no note. I was not in the car when it happened and I was only gone for ~7 minutes so I must have just missed them. I filed a claim with State Farm and I need help selecting a decent repair center if anyone has experience and was happy with the work.

Some of the 'select service' shops I can use are: I know I can use any shop but these shops are pre-selected to work with state farm.

I asume PDR for the big dent, then have to do slight body work/paint to address the scrapes/cracked paint

    thanks,
    Ryan

Ugh, sorry to see that... Assholes. I just had work done from these guys at their Plymouth location. http://www.mastercollisiongroup.com

They did a great job, and the service was fantastic. Let me know if you go with them, as I think you get a small discount with my referral.

Could try Crystal Collision Center. I used them when a tire smacked my BRZ. Very solid work.

My wife had the front end completely smashed on her acadia 2 years ago and I brougt it to luther colision in BP. They had to replace the entire front end, you can't even tell at all that they had the front end apart let alone replaced. I'm not trying to be partial since I work for luther, but they did an amazing job! ! Talk to Howie over there, he'll take care of you

I suspect the vehicle that did that makes frequent visits to the school. I would be on stakeout looking at bumpers. Does the school have any video cameras trained on the parking lot? People suck.

I agree with @pillboy . I would check in with the school admin and see if their security cameras caught anything. In my building, we have cameras that cover all pick up/drop off areas (as well as about 98% of the lot). If your school has a police liaison I would run it by him/her as well.

Sorry for situation, and I hope that all works out for you!

(FWIW, I +100 on the wide body idea :) )

I actually stopped and left my information with the front office the morning after and they sent an email out today which turns out to be an excellent decision.

The person who did the damage called me today, and I'm getting her insurance information. so this will end up alright. The person was apologetic and mentioned they were in the process of writing a note when they saw me pull away. I did get into my car relatively quickly since I didn't notice the damage when loading the kids up in the car. My daughter was standing right where the damage was waiting for me to open the door so I have no reason to doubt the person. I'm excited that I don't have to cover the deductible and they did call me. It's a car can be fixed.

There were no cameras there from what I could tell when I looked around.

I'm taking mine to get fixed Monday and will have a new hood scoop painted at the same time out of pocket. I'm trying to decide if I want to just have them do my side skirts as long as things are being painted so I'll have it fixed soon. I'm going to skip the widebody idea although it's probably the perfect time to do it.

There is a small collision shop in Osseo that does very nice work. Can't remember the exact name, but it's right off main street by the old snowmobile place that burned down. Had 2 civic bumpers done there. The guy did a great job. Also, not for body work, but general repair if you are feeling lazy and don't want to do it yourself... JPT auto. My family has been going there 30+ years. Very honest folks, and decent prices.

I know youve chosen your shop and everything but for PDR Id suggest Finishing touch car care inc. They have done some work on a couple of my dads cars even taking little waves out of the metal, the car looked like they werent even there.

Daww thanks @yuseforester and @tangledupinblu :). Been crazy busy lately so I haven't been on the site much, but thanks for thinking of me.
