Well, my SH just developed a coolant leak as well. Was wondering how hard it is to change out the hoses. Shouldn't be the radiator, I just had that replaced less than 2 years ago. I'll probably end up getting the Grimmspeed kit. From what I've read, just have to drain, put the new hoses on, fill and then bleed. Am I missing anything?
I'd suggest considering putting some effort into finding the source of the leak first. Uv dye is cheap. Re: hose replacement process... yes...
I would suggest pressure testing it to be certain where the leak is coming from first. O’Reillys will loan you one and they’re pretty darn simple to use.
Has like 97,500 miles on it, timing belt/water pump is on the summer's list of crap to do. I can see there's a puddle on the front of the splash guard on the inside right by the lower radiator hose. I'm going to rent a pressure tester tomorrow and see what's going on. Then off to Interstate to purchase a new battery.
Dodged a bullet...turns out the clamp came loose on the lower radiator hose. Took it up and they did a flush and fill on it. Now just have to go to the dealership and get that conditioner for the coolant. And Interstate finally got the battery in that I wanted, so that's in!
