I was living in West Chicago area and part of the 815subaru group out of Rockford. When I had to move up here for work I had some people there as well as from nasioc point me to the local group which was MNsubaru
I was worked with Scuba Steve and living with Bielke in 2006. Pretty sure Dave is the one who got me to join, not sure if Brian was even a member at the time. From OCB to Paul Revere to multiple closed accounts to ShayB250 and finally back to OCB for greater or for worse I've been floating around for a while.
Had it for 3 years before I stumbled upon it doing a search for a shop to do my stage 2 install and tune, Otherwise I would never known if I would kept it stock. Time here so far, I give a C-
Found out about you guys when a guy at Grimmspeed told me I'd get a 10% discount on parts for being a member.

I think hes probably a former member now since i think he sold his wrx but he was a friend i went to middle school with. was a year behind me
I just joined the other day...saw a post on NASIOC, someone asked a question about a Subie mechanic in MN and someone replied with this site address
I recently bought my first Subaru and the previous owner told me about MNsubaru and he also had a slightly beat up MNsubaru sticker on the car.
Figures, when he got me drunk all he talked me into wa... you know what? Forget I mentioned anything.
I do believe one of my friends told me about it a few years ago. And when I decided it was the right time to move into a more mod able car I joined and tried selling my Mazda on this sight.
Correct. There is a lot of membership shared between the two. The .org seems to be the result of some "disagreements" with moderation policies at the .com. I haven't frequented it enough to know if that's just hearsay.
When I bought my Legacy I didn't really want to do another national site (already do that for the Supra) so I went local and this is what I found. Not sure if I actually know anybody on here aside from Zach. I just lurk, gather information, and such.
I was buying a new front axle at Napa in Little Canada and met Yusif, one of the admins on the site and master mechanic
Awesome! Yusef isn't a mod/admin but he is indeed an excellent mechanic. One of very, very few I trust with my car.
And I spelt his name wrong but he mentioned something about getting this site up and running but good guy. Gave me advice right then and there about some mods I had planned
Can't believe I hadn't found it before, but I've been on nasioc a fair amount and never really saw anyone from MN in their "midwest" forum. This is where everyone's at for MN obviously!
I bought my 99 2.5RS and it was honestly plastered with #mnsubaru stickers. Thought I would check the site out and here I am. Sorry to say, I have since removed all stickers from the car including the #rememberthebuster sticker... Nothing against MN Subaru, stickers just aren't my thing!
I was referred to MN Subaru by a guy named Lee, I believe that was his name... He said that MN Subaru was a really tight knit community and that I'd be able to learn a lot from here. Hope to meet everyone one day
While I was at the auto show sitting in an STi making racecar sounds, an associate named Rick mentioned to me I could drive the car for real if I were to buy one. We spoke a while and he encouraged me to check out the site since I already drive a WRX.
