I think that there are more regulars then some think. I may not post my heart out but I troll the neighborhood. Me not being Mrs. Social Butterfly and all it takes me a few times of meeting somebody before I warm up and talk. But I have gotten the chance of meeting some really cool people from Rochester. And the one time I was at FS and froze my toes off I got to kinda meet a few of you. Seeing it through a ladies perspective some of you are a bunch of cry babies who need to suck it up and stop blubbering, while others need to play nice. I think at times that this site can be alot like highschool. Where everybody gangs up on a few or its like jumping on a bandwagon of "well everybody else is doing it.. or everybody else is saying so." But I just keep my mouth shut if I don't have anything nice to say or if I don't know what the heck I'm talking about. Being in a club should mean you have some same interests. And can discuss and learn from each others ideas and experiances. It also means that you can go out and have some fun with a group of people that you might not normally go hang out with or ever have talked to. I for one have had a great time at the few meets I've attended. I plan on going to more and hopefully meeting some more people that share their love for driving, subarus, and spending gobs of money on car parts! And for me that's why I'm a member on Mnsubie.
I've been here for awhile. Haven't acutally met everyone. Just a few although that was just once so I pretty much forgot names.
To answer the original question, we get 2800-3000 different ip's every month and we are averaging about 420 different screen names making a post every month. Russ
I still whore here and on the LGT boards down by me. Until I get Texas plates on my car, which hopefully will be never, I don't consider myself a Texan. Besides who else do you have that brags about the dents and scrapes he puts on his new car?
see!?! ^^^ ive never seen you before i never thought my post would get 7 almost 8 pages worth of responses. holy cow
Care to take that talk to the track? Christian (has a 'slow turd' that can get around faster than the 'fast turd')
It only has 3 on normal settings ... you can change it in the profile to show more posts per page. It helps ... when threads get out of hand
Being a n00b that has only met a few people on here, I thought I would chime in. I've read through all the pages of this thread including the :wavey::wavey::wavey: page. This community is definately interesting. The few people that I've been lucky enough to hang out with have been EXTREMELY cool, and I really enjoyed it. Due to the busyness of my schedule in the fall, and then my wife being pregnant, I simply haven't had a chance to get to Firestone, the fall run or the ice races - although I would have really liked to. I believe that the people on here are welcoming, but it's also a really tight knit bunch and coming into a group like that is intimidating, even for an outgoing person. I don't bother to log onto NASIOC anymore, and log onto this site only. I know that ther are always going to be the banter and the "battles" on a forum for reasons that have already been discussed. I just try not to get involved - it's really not worth it. Anyway, to get to the point of this thread, I definatly use the forum. I've experienced good responces to the threads I've posted - even since my first one. I've also gotten a LOT of enjoyment out of the pointless and random threads - especially at work. I greatly appreciate the knowledge that the members have collectively and the willingness to help other members. I look forward to meeting more members.
i have a fast for the money spent subie and i have two mulletmobiles, and a motorcycle that dusted your car
Nasioc is a good forum for needed info... I consider MNSubaru to be more of a club in which people are able to meet eachother, and plan car related events. I think the reason why regulars get more of a response is because we all have met eachtother or worked on something together. Including the fact that most the regulars also show up at Firestone. I'm not saying new members have to do such to get attention but it's just what happens.
this thread turned off topic along time ago sweetheart. stop trying to do good and return to topic.....
well i beat dream by about 6 CAR lengths, but with your new setup....IDK, i'll still race ya, but i doubt i'll win, the closest race was between me and the GTO on laughing gas, but i beat him too
