Nebraska. I-80. Colorado, too. I-25. A lot of the Western States have higher limits because of the huge amount of open space you have to cover.
You don't have to pay it on the spot that is false, I got one last year and I was asked if I wanted to, I just waited to pay it when i got home.
Lets see here: 1 - 17 over in a 25 2 - 21 over in a 25 (same spot opposite direction 5 days later) I was stupid at 17. Lost my license for 2 months for that stupidity. I didn't get another ticket for 4 years but i did recieve 14 written warnings in that time. I got one on the way to a brewers game about 3 years ago for 10 in a 45. then i got 2 speeding tickets within 7 months about 1.5 years ago.

One ticket 7/06 going 84 in a 65 in the volvo S60R...prior to that the last ticket i received was in 1987 doing about the same speed. Got nailed by a plane, cop waiting for me down the road. "Are you sure it was my Supra?"...they were
last ticket was about 3-4 years ago. Sneaky speed trap south of KC. Down hill, speed changes from 70-55ish... The other one was for speeding 9-10 years ago. Got pulled over twice in 3 days 6 months ago but didn't get a ticket for either time. I'm either really lucky or the not being a dbag to the officer thing really does work.
I don't know if it is a law or not... That is what the officer told me flat out! This was like 5 years ago, and it was C.H.I.P.S. style with Poncho friggin laser taggin me at like 19 over and pullin out in his motorcycle to pull me over... He told me I could either pay by credit card on the spot, or he would follow me to the next gas station up the road where I could stop to get cash! I thought it was BS too, but I wasn't about to argue with him as I was just tryin to get home from Chicago after driving for 5 plus hours at the time... Either way, the Po Po come out of the woods over there!
