I've been having electric problems with the braille lightweight battery off and on now for way to long. Curious on a good battery for an 05 STI that people would recommend?

youre going to want a redtop.

the bluetop is a marine battery.

and the yellow is a high output battery aka if you are running hard core lights or a giant stereo system.

a redtop is a 'normal' battery for normal cars who dont drive in water and have giant subwoofers that but out 592742 db's

Seriously?? Hit up Walmart and get their 650cca battery that is $30 and about 3/4 the size of the stocker and call it a day. Red top/yellow top are a waste of money.

I'm thinking of going with the Red Top. Is there a good place in the Minneapolis area to buy one and get it installed?

If you buy a walmart battery, make sure it's not a "Never-Start". They suck, and I see quite a few that are junk after 1 year or less.

Stock battery's work fine. Made by Interstate/Panasonic.

Any Orielys or Advanced auto should have them in stock, just make sure you have them look up the correct batt. for your car cuz the terminals come in various locations for different cars. I can help put it in with you if you want. Its very easy. Pm me if you need help.

Deka makes those batteries for Braille. I'd suggest getting a Deka ETX14 to replace it. I've had mine for 2.5 years now with no issues and as you already know taking 20lbs off the corner of your car is a good thing.
