Same here. I just put my two weeks in two weeks ago and my last day was Friday. 60-70 hrs/wk for the past 6 mos and it was killing my family. 8.5 yrs with Wells Fargo and 3 yrs of management there and I have no idea what I'm going to do. I only have a couple of leads so far.

This whole need a new job thing sucks. Except I can finally see my kids again.

maybe this was covered, but have you thought about being an internal wholesaler? mutual funds? 40-55K per year, maybe 80-120K w-2 (depending on location and company)

Oh and one thing I forgot to mention:

If your company insists upon sticking me on the phone again because my 5 years of entry level experience are not enough, I will do it as long as the word "DALBAR" is not associated with your co in any way shape or form.

Unfortunately, ING is out. They're all over that DALBAR crap. I'm not about sacrificing service for numbers kthx.

They are a 3rd party "quality control" unit. They have reworked our procedures to their standards, and apparently if you're up to their standards - you get your company's name all over the place. It's ranking crap.

Essentially, in the year since inception, we have sacrified service for the sake of winning an award for industry conformity within the first 2 years of our independence.

Meaning: we will soon be just like every other call center out there. Full of procedure, and no emotion. We'll put you on hold to bring things up even if it takes a minute.

Minimum amount of "pause" time allowed in a call (dead air) 10 seconds. Even if systems are clocking you can't say that. That's unacceptable. Put the caller on hold.

This job used to be fun, now it's not even the job i got hired for anymore. All I do is process, process, process, and forget research. They want you always on the phone, next call please - don't get too attached.

The people who called used to like talking to me, now they just get exasperated.

    I hate it.
