So I'm in the market for some springs, the two I'm considering are Crucial Racing and Prodrive. My only concern is I'm going to be running stock struts with 60k until spring, so Crucial's may be a bit much on the stockers. In the spring I will be buying AGX's or D-spec's. My only plans are to auto-x next summer.

    Thanks
    Chet

Everybody on here seems to love prodrive. Why not just do both in the spring at the same time? Thats what I am gonna do. ;)

I'm in a similar situation except I'm going to buy the struts at the same time as the springs. It sounds like the prodrives are pretty capable springs, and since it sounds like you're not that experienced at autocrossing, your springs are not going to be the limiting factor of your best times. Hell, even your stock suspension isn't going to be the limiting factor.

I'd say get the prodrives since they're designed for the stock struts anyway, and you'll have a really decent setup once you upgrade your shocks.

I'm still undecided for my setup though.

Prodrives will kill the stock struts also -- just not as fast as the Crucial ones.

I think any lowering spring is going to kill struts.

Yeah. However, if you are going to upgrade the struts in the spring, you might as well just wait.

That will make the install much easier since you'll just have to swap out the entire assembly and not have to worry about getting the spring/strut combo taken apart or anything like that. Also, you'll only have to pay for 1 alignment as opposed to 2.
