02 Wrx with oem Alarm system. ok so I was playing with my door locks and the remote today. Engine off, driver door open. I manual lock the driver door and unlock it with the remote. Did that a few times then I notice that my "Security" light is blinking. It only goes off when I turn on the engine. Everything works like normal except when I press any buttom on the remote, the car "chirps(beeps)" like it suppose to but the parking light/tail-light is NOT blinking like it should. Whats going on, what did I do? Stupid me, but I was bored. Help!
might want to check to see if you got A.D.D. sounds like you did a valet mode and you held on to your remote unlock button too long when the car was unlocked and that is the reason for the chirp...Unlock the car and and press and hold the blue button again until you see your lights flashing and your back to silent mode
Whats A.D.D.? My remote has GREY buttons only. I'm assuming you meant the "unlock" button, small button on the remote?
You're in valet mode. Your manual will tell you how to fix this. I think you open driver's side door and hold unlock for a few seconds but I'm not certain.
forgot the 02 is the gray buttons...yes its the unlock *bigger button* I'll let Ej22TIM explain A.D.D. *busted* smaller is unlock
Crap...your right Brian, I need to drive my car more often...I'm getting mixed up...Orange is lock and blue is unlock on mine...Blue smaller and orange bigger, I need to go ZZZzzz
